Hera didn't move a muscle, and Bernard smiled at that.
"You're not going to him. Does that mean I'm more important than his life or death?" Bernard smiled proudly like a winner
announcing his win.
Hera indifferently glanced at his hand, which was holding her wrist tightly.
Tyler couldn't take it anymore. "Stop your bullshit and let go of her hand. How can shee towhen you're holding her hand?"
"See? He's shouting fine, which means he's doing just fine," Bernard hurriedly said.
Hera and Tyler were equally speechless.
"Let's go." Bernard forcefully dragged Hera out. They rounded the scattered glass shards on the floor, and he called on Tiramisu.
From the strength of his grip, she could tell that he was angry. He was just putting on an act.

"This man has serious mood swings," she made a mental note.
He stuffed her into the front passenger seat before crashing her lips with his as though trying to leave his mark on her. It was so
sudden that she had to crane her neck to accept his advances.
Moaning, she tried to push him away, but he punished her more severely instead.
A furious Hera bit his lips, causing him to groan in pain. He finally released her as he licked the corner of his lips.
"I'll cage you at hthe next tanother man touches you." Bernard's voice was hoarse.
Then, he flung the car door closed. Tiramisu caught up to them, and he opened the other car door to put it in the back seat.
Unable toprehend the situation, Hera wanted to get out of the car. However, before she could do that, he got into the car and
locked the door. He drove away.
Right then, her phone rang upon receiving a message from Tyler, "The man following you works for Bernard."
The message cwith a photo. It was the man she saw back at the park! The background of the photo was a mansion.
Alarmed, she looked up at Bernard.
Since he had shaved, it showed his defined and perfect jawline. The man looked neat and dashing once again.
His lips were pursed into a thin line. The corner of his lips was still swollen, showing how upset he was at the moment.
Bernard suddenly felt like a stranger to Hera.
"How did you know that | was here?" she questioned.
He didn't answer. Holding on the steering wheel with one hand, he took his phone out and scrolled through something before

It was his chat history with Tyler. An hour ago, Tyler sent a photo of Hera cooking in the kitchen.
Hera couldn't understand what Tyler was up to.
Was he trying to drive a wedge between them or remind her of something?
Bernard could feel her gaze on him, but he didn't utter a word. He was waiting for an explanation, but she didn't give him one.
She withdrew her gaze and placed his phone into thepartment in the middle of the seats. Then, she looked out of the window.
She rewound the details of the terrorist attack, as well as Queenie, who was shot dead. This was the third talready.
Bernard saved Hera the first two times. This time, if it weren't for Tyler, she would've died.
It was only now that she realized that she was being watched the entire time.
A chill ran down her spine.
