Chapter 38 Resistant to Her Barry stood there for a moment, thinking about how Tiffany looked just now. He felt like she was a bit unhappy. Just then, a familiar voice called out, "Barry!" Barry turned around and saw Leon. A smile spread across his face, but then he noticed a stranger next to Leon. Who was she? Barry's smile faded, and he quietly walked over to Leon.

As soon as Bronte saw Barry, she approached him. She raised her hand to touch his head, but he dodged. Barry hid behind Leon, looking up innocently, and asked, "Daddy, who is she?" Leon paused for a few seconds, not sure how to explain Bronte's identity.

"Hi Barry, I'm Bronte. I'm a good friend of your daddy," Bronte said with a sweet smile, trying to be patient. But inside, she was cursing. If it weren't for trying to please Leon, she wouldn't bother with Tiffany's kid. Barry frowned, holding onto Leon tightly, not wanting to talk to Bronte. He was afraid of her. For sreason, whenever Bronte got close, he felt uncomfortable. Even though she was smiling, it still made him uneasy.

"Mr. Cooper, does Barry not like me?" Bronte asked, feeling disappointed.

"Barry's not used to strangers," Leon explained without even looking up.

"Then I'll make sure Barry gradually accepts me." Bronte gave Barry a kind smile.

Barry, with his head down, didn't see it. He thought of how sad Tiffany looked before she left. Did she see Leon with Bronte? 'Daddy, seriously! This misunderstanding just got worse,' Barry thought.

But what Barry didn't expect was that Leon actually brought Bronte back home.

At the Cooper Mansion, Bronte sat quietly on the sofa, while Barry stayed far away from her, his little hands picking at the hem of his shirt.

Barry hung his head, thinking, 'Does Daddy like her? What about Mommy?' While Barry was feeling conflicted, Bronte seemed to have already made herself at home. "Mr. Cooper, can I use the kitchen? I'll cook lunch today." Bronte, eager to impress Leon, got up to head to the kitchen. Leon raised his eyebrows, looked at her, and spoke lightly. "You're a guest; you don't need to do these chores yourself." Bronte just smiled and turned her gaze to Barry, looking gentle. "I want Barry to try my cooking, and you can give your opinion too, Mr. Cooper." Without waiting for Leon to respond, Bronte turned around, put on an apron, and went to the kitchen alone. Leon rubbed his temples, unable to stop her.

At that moment, Barry walked up to Leon and gently tugged at his clothes. "Daddy, don't you want Mommy anymore?" Barry asked, feeling sad. He didn't like Bronte and didn't want her clinging to Leon.

"Barry, don't talk nonsense. Miss Langley is Daddy's friend, and Tiffany and I have nothing to do with each other anymore. Don't mention her again." Leon's words completely hurt Barry. He bit his lip and reluctantly went back to sit down.

When Bronte finished cooking, Barry had no appetite at all. He took a few bites and ran upstairs.

'This food isn't even half as good as Mommy's! Don't think you can winover!' Barry thought.

Seeing that Barry disliked her, Bronte couldn't help but complain. "Mr. Cooper, did I do something wrong?" She looked at Leon helplessly.

Seeing her full of grievances and realizing she had no ill intentions towards Barry, Leon slowly put down his utensils and explained, "Barry needs tto accept a stranger. Miss Langley, you should go hafter dinner." "Okay," Bronte forced a smile, but inside, she resented Barry. If it weren't for him, she could have spent more twith Leon! Leon didn't know why, but he always felt a bit uneasy around Bronte. That night five years ago, they were so entangled, it was unforgettable, like the sweetest dream he had had in years. What went wrong? Bronte sensed Leon's distant tone, knowing he hadn't fully trusted her yet, so she didn't push it. After dinner, she said goodbye to Leon and left the Cooper Mansion.

Not long after, Leon went to the study and dialed his secretary's number. "Helpfind out where Bronte was that night, and also get information on Harper." "Yes, Mr. Cooper." After hanging up, Leon exhaled slowly, closed his eyes, and gently rubbed his temples. And in his mind, Tiffany's image flashed by.

He suddenly opened his eyes. Why did he think of her? Back at the hotel, Tiffany was absent-minded no matter what she did. Sam and Flora called her several times, but she didn't respond.

"Sam, what's wrong with Mommy?" Flora asked anxiously, worried that Tiffany wasn't feeling well.

"Did Mommy encounter something? Should we ask Sophia?" Sam thought for a moment and decided to call Sophia over.

Flora nodded in agreement. The two immediately messaged Sophia.

Within ten minutes, Sophia rushed to the hotel. After Sam opened the door for her, she instantly ran to Tiffany, looking her over.

Tiffany was fine, didn't look like something happened.

Tiffany was a bit confused and asked, "Sophia, what's wrong with you?" "Sam messaged me, saying something big happened to you. I stopped filming and rushed over." While speaking, Sophia glared at Sam, silently clenching her fist.

"Sam, are you messing with me?" Sophia put her hands on her hips and knocked on Sam's forehead.

"No, Sophia, Mommy has been acting strange today." Flora hugged Sophia's arm, acting spoiled.

Tiffany cto her senses, realizing she had worried the kids, feeling a bit guilty.

Sophia noticed Tiffany's low spirits and couldn't help but ask, "Tiffany, what's really going on?" Tiffany chuckled softly and talked about what she saw at the swimming pool.

"What? Daddy likes someone else?" "What? Leon likes Bronte?" The three were simultaneously shocked.

Tiffany nodded.

"No way, is Leon crazy? He likes Bronte? Is his brain broken?" Sophia spread her hands, really not understanding.

"Forget it, who he likes is his business." Tiffany had already cto terms with it.

"I still find it hard to accept. Someone like Bronte, such a petty person-if Leon couldn't see her true colors, he should go to the hospital and check his eyes," Sophia mocked, rolling her eyes.

Sophia looked annoyed, her impression of Leon plummeting Someone like Bronte, how could she En.

"Sophia, let's cast him aside. I'll be participating in this fashion show too, sp just accompany me." Tiffany hugged Sophia's arm, smiling lightly. "Alright, alright." Sophia smiled helplessly.

"Mommy, since Daddy likes someone else, let's take Barry away!" Sam raised his hand, looking excited.

Tiffany wanted to do that, but she was afraid Leon wouldn't agree.

At that moment, Leon's phone received a message from his secretary. Harper's specific itinerary hadn't been found yet. But there was news about Bronte.
