Chapter 256 Unusual Dorinda Night fell at 8 PM.

Aiden skulked near the underground venue, noticing a steady stream of people entering. Most of them were older men, sof whom Aiden recognized as married businessmen.

He was surprised to see these men coming here together for fun.

Without much hesitation, Aiden flashed his access card to the guards outside and was allowed in.

The guards subjected everyone entering to a mandatory body search and required them to wear a specific mask. Electronic devices like phones and recording pens were strictly prohibited.

Aiden had anticipated this and left those items behind.

However, to expose this place, he needed evidence. After discussing it with Ulysses, he installed a tiny camera in his tie clip, invisible to the naked eye and undetectable.

Once inside, the camera started recording, and on the other end, Ulysses was at his computer, saving everything being captured.

As Aiden stepped further in, the strong smell of blood made him nauseous. The deeper he went, the more pungent the odor became.

He rubbed his nose, trying to blend in and not draw attention.

The lighting was dim, and occasional laughter sent chills down his spine.

Suddenly, a sharp scream echoed from not far away, startling Aiden and nearly causing him to lose his balance.

There were several rooms, each with a sign outside. To enter, one simply needed to get a corresponding number from the front desk.

Aiden deduced the scream cfrom the innermost room. He quickly grabbed a number and followed the crowd.

As he pushed the door open, he felt like he had stepped into another world.

Outside was a scene of revelry, but the room's setup resembled a slaughterhouse. The lighting was even dimmer, and eerie laughter filled the air. On a high platform stood two people.

One wore a butcher's mask and held a whip. Various torture devices lay on the table beside him. Aiden felt a chill run down his spine.

Next to the butcher was a girl, bound hand and foot, kneeling before everyone, dressed in a provocative outfit. The whip's crack was sharp and painful to hear.

The girl screamed again, but no one showed any sympathy; they all laughed heartily. Seven leered at her. Aiden couldn't stand it any longer. He rushed forward and shouted, "Why are you hitting her? Isn't this place supposed to be for entertainment? This is abuse!" Everyone turned to look at him, their expressions mocking.

Even the girl looked at him.

The butcher untied the girl, who immediately smiled, rubbed her wrists, and slowly walked over to Aiden. She reached out and hooked her slender fingers under his chin. "Handsome, you seem to care about me." Her voice was seductive, every move designed to entice Aiden.

He swallowed nervously, feeling flustered.

The others laughed loudly, gossiping about Aiden.

"Is this guy an idiot? Trying to play hero? Doesn't he know it's all for show?" "Must be a newbie. Dorinda, you've got another one falling for you. Such innocent young men are rare." "Who can blhim? Dorinda's got that damsel-in-distress look. I felt the sway the first tI saw her." The mocking comments continued, all ridiculing Aiden for meddling.

Watching Dorinda Baldwin's bold actions, Aiden pushed her away, accidentally touching her wound. She winced but quickly smiled again.

Only Aiden noticed her brief expression of pain; the others kept laughing.

After a moment's thought, Aiden handed Dorinda smedicine he always carried. She looked surprised.

"You're a girl. You shouldn't have scars; it won't look good." Aiden's face flushed for a moment.

Of course, with the mask on, only he could feel it.

The others laughed, thinking Aiden had fallen for Dorinda.

Dorinda smiled and turned to return to the stage.

The next second, the door burst open, and a group of men in black stormed in, surrounding the room.

The sudden intrusion shocked everyone.

Unlike the guests, the staff had to show their faces. However, the leader, a scar-faced man, didn't wear a mask. Aiden felt a pang of guilt and quickly lowered his head.

Dorinda seemed to anticipate something and walked straight to Aiden, stopping in front of him.

She tugged at his tie, just as she had teased him earlier.

Aiden realized something was wrong, but it was too late. She had taken the camera from his tie clip. The men in black began searching everyone.

"Someone reported that one of you m brought in electronic devices. ? suggest you hand it over voluntarily, or you'll face the consequences." The leader's cold gaze swept over the crowd.

Aiden glanced at Dorinda, wondering if her "repayment" was to expose him.

The men in black approached, and Aiden's heart pounded.

Suddenly, someone in the crowd shouted, "Found it, over here!" The men in black swarmed the person, finding a phone on him.

"I just wanted to take spictures to show my friends. I didn't mean any harm..." He panicked, trying to explain.

"Save your excuses for our boss. Take him away." In no time, the men in black left the room with the culprit.

The incident had killed the guests' mood.

The butcher removed his mask and left.

Dorinda turned to Aiden, a hint of a smile in her eyes.

"Handsome, want to cto my room for a bit?"
