The Duke frowned when he noticed the atmosphere had grown tense and waved his hand. "Alright, stop with the
noise!"
When the Duke spoke, both Albert and Jameson kept quiet and stepped aside.
The next second, the Duke pondered and slowly said, "This is all about the prestige and survival of the Day Rise
Principality. Let me think about it carefully. All of you may leave!"
The Duke was caught in a dilemma. He felt annoyed and irritable.
"Yes, My Lord!" the mayors present responded in unison before they left the hall one by one.
Jameson's eyes flickered, but he did not leave the hall.
After everyone left, Jameson stepped forward.
"My Lord! Are you really not going to hand Darren over? If the five Principalities launch an attack at US, we
wouldn't be able to resist it,” he said respectfully to the Duke.
"Of course I know this, but Darren is now knighted and part of the Day Rise Principality. If I
hand him over to the five Principalities, how will I rule this Principality in the future? who
would be convinced of my leadership?" the Duke said helplessly, sighing. 1
Jameson smiled faintly. "It turns out that you’re worried about this. How about this? When
Darren comes back, let me take care of this matter."
"You’ll take care of this matter?" The Duke was stunned.
Jameson nodded. "Yes, I’ll think of a way to catch hold of Darren and hand him over to the

won’t have to be worried about your reputation being damaged."
The Duke pondered for a moment and then nodded. "Well, then do as you say!"

Meanwhile, Darryl had finally arrived at the capital city of the Day Rise Principality after
two hours of flying.
‘I guess Albert must be resting at this hour,’ he thought as he walked towards the manor
Albert lived.
When he approached the manor, a rider soldier hurried to greet him. "Your Excellency.”
"What's the matter with you?" Darryl stopped and asked with a frown.
While talking, he studied the knight and realized that he did not work for Albert from his
outfit.
"Your Excellency! I am a rider under Mayor Jameson, He has something to discuss with
you, Your Excellency," the knight said respectfully with a reverent expression.
‘Jameson?’ Darryl frowned after hearing that.
Jameson was always against him, and he must have an agenda if he sent someone to look
for him all of a sudden.

He was about to leave when the knight quickly said, “Your Excellency, do you want to see Mayor Albert? He was
summoned by the Duke and he is still in the palace now! Mayor Jameson has really important things to discuss
with you. Please come with me. Otherwise, I won’t be able to finish my job."
‘Albert is in the palace?’ Darryl scratched his head.
"Well, go ahead and lead the way,” he said.
Darryl was led by the rider soldier and soon, he arrived at Jameson's manor.
After he entered the hall of the manor, he saw Jameson was seated and waiting for him.
Jameson quickly stood up when he saw Darryl and said with a smile, "The great painter is here! Please excuse
me for not greeting you outside."
"Jameson, why the hell are you looking for me?" Darryl asked in a straightforward manner, too lazy to beat
around the bush.
Jameson smirked. "Darren, I’ve always been against you and found fault in you everywhere. Now to think about
it, I was doing all that because I was jealous of your talents. I really shouldn't have done that!"
