Boom!
Maverick found an opportunity and hit Grady s face with a punch. Grady howled in
pain and was sent flying a few meters backward before falling heavily to the ground.
After that, Cyclops and the others dashed forward and tied Grady up.
Grady was utterly stunned; he looked at Maverick in a daze. "Brother Maverick,
what's up? We spoke about you allowing me to save Lolita, but why are you tying me
up?"
"Shut up!" Maverick yelled and cursed, "stop acting like we're close, who is your
brother?"
Grady’s brain buzzed when he heard the rebuke; he was utterly stunned!
'What's the matter with that man? We've discussed this earlier, why is he acting up
now?'
"Grady!"
Suddenly, a faint voice echoed. Then, Darryl slowly walked out of the wooden house
with a leisurely look on his face.
What?
Grady was startled to see Darryl, "why are you here as well?"

Darryl gave Grady an interesting smile. "Are you disappointed that I'm well? I heard
Maverick say that you like acting and want to be a hero to save Lolita. How about it? Do
you feel good now?"
Grady felt humiliated; he growled at Darryl. "Don't be too proud—"
He was interrupted by Maverick halfway through his sentence!
"How dare you growl at Mister Darryl! You've got a death wish?" Maverick snarled and
gave Grady a tight slap.
After knowing the relationship between Darryl and the Blood Hand Organization leader,
Maverick dared not slack off. He was eager to perform well in front of Darryl. Grady was
the McClaren family's young master and was somewhat influential in Pearl City, but he
was no match for the Blood Hand Organization. At the same time, Cyclops and the others
drew closer and began punching and kicking Grady.
"Brother Maverick, what the hell is going on?" Grady was helpless. He was baffled when
they beat him up.

Darryl waved his hand when Grady almost died from the severe beating.

side respectfully upon Darryl's command.

Darryl sat on the chair and looked at Grady with a faint smile. "You planned for someone
to beat me up, and you had your attention on my wife, Lolita. Now tell me, how do we
solve that problem?"
Grady was scared witless from the incessant beating. He asked in trepidation, "You—what
do you think?"
Darryl laughed.
He smiled indifferently. "I heard that the McClaren family and the Damien family work
together on several projects. Why not write a note to relinquish the McClaren family's right
from handling those projects?"
'What?'
'He wants the McClaren family to give up on those projects?' Grady trembled; he was
stunned and inundated by Darryl's request.
The McClaren family and the Damien family's projects covered several areas, and
they were of inestimable value. The McClaren family would suffer a substantial

"What's your decision?"
Grady hesitated, and Darryl sneered unsympathetically. "This is my last chance for
you! If you don't want it, I will hand you over to Maverick."
Maverickchimed in coldly, "Mister Darryl, don't worry. I guarantee that he will
disappear forever if that's your wish."
Huh!
Grady trembled; he almost collapsed on the ground.
He had known Maverick for two years. He knew very well that Maverick was a
savage and cruel man. He would not survive the night if Maverick were set to kill
him.
Grady was perplexed that he had no idea why Maverick was so respectful to Darryl.
"Grady!"
Maverick saw Grady's expression and said, "Don't mind me being ruthless. I didn't
know who Mister Darryl was before and accidentally offended him.
Fortunately, he gave me a chance before things went beyond repair, otherwise, my
brothers and I would have died!"
