Half an hour later, Darryl followed the unicorn carriage to a private
mansion by the beach. The mansion was huge and the interior looked
beautiful. It was Cunning’s private mansion.
The mansion was holding a private banquet and there were many guards
at the door. The guests had to present their invites in order to enter and
the place was heavily guarded.
Darryl wanted to break in, but he held himself back. At the wedding, Grady
got publicly beaten up and caused a scene. He must not act recklessly
anymore. As he thought about it, Darryl noticed a weak spot in the security
of the mansion’s back garden. He walked over quietly and slipped in
without raising attention.
Darryl took a deep breath when he arrived at the mansion and saw the
situation in the front hall. There were many guests in the hall and all of
them were reputable people in Pearl City. Apart from that, there were many

Many servants walked through the hall carrying wine and fruit platters. The

he was not aware that the person who organized the event was Cunning,
whom he had just met.
Darryl looked around in awe and saw Grady and Lolita were seated not too far away. He
walked over to them without a second thought. At that moment, Lolita and Grady were
talking and had not noticed Darryl.
Grady was trying to please her.
“Lolita, when Mister Cunning arrives, I’ll introduce you to him as soon as possible. Don’t
worry, Mister Cunning and I are old acquaintances, so he’ll do me a favor,” Grady said with
a smile as he held a glass of wine.
Lolita nodded. "That's good!"
“If this matter is resolved, how are you going to thank me?” Grady said, smiling and
looking at Lolita lustfully.

"Ha-ha!" Grady became bold and inched closer to her. “Ha-ha! Well, once the banquet is
over, you’ll stay with me...”
Lolita trembled and felt embarrassed. At the same time, Darryl, who was standing behind
them, felt a fire burning in his heart. ‘Sh*t, Grady is so bold. How dare he make such a
request to Lolita.’

She was puzzled as she asked, “You didn’t have an invite. How did you get
in?”
Darryl was about to answer, but he was interrupted by Grady.
"Do you still need to ask?" Grady sneered.
Then, he said sarcastically, "I think he must have snuck in when the others
weren’t paying attention!"
It was Mister Cunning's private banquet and Darryl was just a live-in son-in-
law. How would he be eligible to attend?
Lolita bit her lips hard and she looked horrible as she frowned and said,
“Darryl, go home now! ”
