Felix sighed. “I heard that the Box family’s patriarch is looking to hire a bodyguard for his two daughters. He wants

to hire top-level warriors, but they can’t be too old. You do fit the requirement, Brother Darryl. However, the post

might be below you. I think we should–“

Before he could finish his sentence, Darryl interrupted him determinedly. “That’s fine; line can be his bodyguard.

Please arrange that for me, quickly.”

‘As long as I can get into the Box family, I will find the way to get the Dragon Essence for Little Fairy. I am willing to

be anything, even a bodyguard, and I will never complain.”

“Alright then, Brother Darryl, I will arrange that immediately,” Felix replied with a sigh.

After Darryl put down the phone, he stared at Little Fairy and walked out of the room.

A few minutes later, he had gathered everyone at the Carter mansion’s main hall.

Darryl sat on a chair in the middle of the hall as he looked at Dax, Chester, Jewel, Debra and the others. He said, “I

have to go to Mistloren on my own; I am leaving today.”

The hall immediately turned chaotic.

No one tried to stop him; they supported his plan. Little Fairy had died to save Darryl, so it was logical for him to

want to find the Dragon Essence to save her.

Darryl sighed and said, “I am worried about the Carter family when I’ve left for Mistloren.”

Donoghue had attempted to destroy the Carter family just a few days ago, and he had managed to escape. It

would be a disaster if he were to return when Darryl was not around. How could the Carter family defend

themselves?

“Darry!”

Debra knew that Darryl was worried, so she said softly, “Don’t worry about the Carter family; go ahead to Mistloren,

I will stay here to protect them.”

Although Darryl did not say it, Debra knew the reason for his worries.

Then, Dax said, “That’s right, Darryl, don’t worry, just go on ahead. Chester and I will stay here too. I have told all

the Flower Mountain Sect and Eternal Life Palace Sect disciples to come here; we will protect the Carter family.”

When Darryl heard that, he felt warm and touched.

Then, Jewel walked toward him and looked at Darryl obediently. “Mister, I will not follow you. I shall stay with Sister

Debra.”

Jewel pursed her lips. She had wanted to go with Darryl, but she had no power at all. She would only be a burden to

Darryl if she were to follow him, Darryl had a serious task to complete; it was best if she did not go with him.

Darryl laughed and stretched his hand to pat Jewel’s head.

“Good!” Ever since they met, Jewel had never been away from Darryl. He had been worried when Jewel insisted on

following him; it was true that she could only be an inconvenience if he brought her along with him.

He did not expect Jewel to be so understanding.

Darryl still sat on the chair when he addressed the family disciples outside the hall. ” Bring me Lindsay Jones!”

Darryl had captured Lindsay at the Wishing Star Tower, and he had kept her locked up ever since.

“Yes, Young Master.”

A few family disciples left quickly and returned with a slim figure to the main hall.

It was Lindsay Jones.

They had tied her up; instead of her arrogant and confident expression, her eyes showed only fear.

Lindsay’s perfect body trembled when she saw so many people in the main hall.

“The Prime Minister had k****d so many of their people; they would never let me go.”

“Darry!”

Dax glared at Lindsay as he shouted, “Let’s just k**l her!”

Everyone else also shouted furiously.

“That’s right, k**l her!”

“This is an evil woman; she deserves to d*e!”

Lindsay’s face was pale as she felt everyone’s anger. Her legs were weak, and her knees almost buckled.

Darryl raised his hand and said, “Don’t k**l her first. Let’s give her something nice to eat.”

Darryl walked coldly toward Lindsay. Then, he retrieved an elixir and forced it down her throat.

Gulp!

Before Lindsay could react, she had already swallowed the elixir.

“What was that? What did you give me?” Lindsay looked at Darryl with fear and anger.

Darryl laughed coldly. “What? Aren’t you the Five Poison Sect’s Sect Master and an expert in poisons? Are you

afraid of poison?”

Darryl sounded cold; he looked straight at Lindsay and said, “Have you heard of the Heaven Cult Elixir?”

That was right; Darryl had let her consume the Heaven Cult Elixir!

“Heaven Cult Elixir?”

Lindsay’s flawless body shivered as she started to sweat profusely.

Even though she was theFive Poison Sect’s Sect Master and she specialized in poison and elixir production, that was

the first time that she had heard about the Heaven Cult Elixir. She did not know what that was, and that was why

she was afraid.

“You have one year. If you do not get the antidote before one year is up, then your body will start to rot-you will

d*e. If you don’t believe me, try using your internal energy and channel it to your acupoint. Do you feel sore and

perhaps, p*******d?” Darryl said coldly.
