"Then we need to stay away from the World of Darkness for now."
Austin nodded in agreement.
It was quite a long journey.
Four days later, the airship finally left the territory of the World of Darkness.
"Woohoo!
We've finally gotten out of there!"
Peterson, Hare and Austin all cheered. They had been looking forward to this day.
"Well, let's keep going! We need to stay away from that place as much as possible. The farther we go, the better!
All the forces in the Sea of Chaos must deploy a large number of cultivators to the World of Darkness when they learn all about it. |
am quite sure!"
Peterson said as he activated the airship's supersonic mode so that they could travel at the speed of sound.
"l agree! It is very sensational when the news that thousands of divine gods died in the World of Darkness spreads like wildfire.
| believe that the most urgent matter for them is to identify and pinpoint the exact location of the chaotic world tree.
Austin, from now on, you're going to make a nfor yourself in the Sea of Chaos. It will be much quicker than you think!"
Hare said with a pleasant smile and two thumbs up.
"I don't think this kind of nwill bringanything good except lots of trouble.
| don't want any of it,"
Austin replied with a shrug.
"It's too late. You will have to suffer the consequences. Because you've taken the chaotic world tree away with you!
It's such an invaluable treasure that anyone who takes it will becthe enemy of all the forces in the Sea of Chaos. Wait and see!
Soon there will be countless cultivators trying all possible means to find you. They won't let you go easily."
Peterson sighed.
"I don't care. But master, why does everyone want it so bad? What makes it so special? What use do | have for it?"
Austin asked out of genuine curiosity.
In fact, this question had lingered on the back of his mind for quite stnow. He only got the gall to ask when they were
already out of danger.
Even though Austin now took the chaotic world tree with him, it was still not clear to him what it could do. He had his eyes glued
on his master, waiting for his reply.
"Okay, it's a long story,"
Peterson began, his eyes half-closed as if reminiscing the past.
"With your current cultivation base and perspective, you should have gained sbasic understanding of the structures of the
three different spaces, namely the world, the cosmos and the chaotic void. Are you familiar with those?
Among them, the world refers to a star or a small separate space inside a cosmos, and sometimes it's also called a small world
because of its size.
Next, a cosmos is also called a universe.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtOther than having different names, they are exactly the sthing.
Lastly, compared to the cosmos, the chaotic void is a much more advanced existence.
As a matter of fact, a cosmos is a large space floating within the chaotic void.
And the chaotic void is actually what we usually refer to, as the Sea of Chaos.
From small to big, it is the world, the cosmos and the chaotic void respectively. The three are composed of the basic spatial
structures here."
Peterson drew a vivid picture with words and Austin clearly understood.
"Yes, master. I've already known about these spatial structures and have even cacross sof them,"
Austin replied with a nod.
"Of all these structures, the chaotic void, or the Sea of Chaos, is eternal and ever existent. It was, is and will always be there. It will
never perish, hence, there is no need for it to be reborn.
In other words, the chaotic void has always existed and will always exist in future, just like space and time. It supersedes
everything else and it sort of represents the ultimate will and the law of nature!
It has no life. Thus, only in the absence of death will there be forever!
As for the other two structures, they will experience the inevitable process of coming into being, growing bigger and finally
perishing.
There are new cosmos coming into being in the Sea of Chaos every now and then. Likewise there are also cosmos perishing in
various manners and ultimately disappearing into oblivion. You may have heard of the black hole. It is only one among many ways
that a cosmos is destroyed.
Now inside each cosmos, which you more familiarly call, the universe, the creation and destruction of worlds are a more common
phenomenon,"
Peterson went on with his story.
"Well, I knew that too, master. Please continue."
Austin nodded again, with an expressive desire to learn more. He was like a sponge absorbing all kinds of information.
"It seems that | need to show you ssilver bullets. There are three ways for a cosmos or a universe to cinto being. Has
anyone ever told you of this before?"
Peterson asked with a confident smile.
"Three ways? What are they? No, I've never heard of those!"
Austin exclaimed and his eyes sparkled with anticipation.
"The first is coming into being by itself. In the chaotic void, when tis right, the laws, the space and all the other matters shall
intertwine with each other, and a new cosmos will be born from it.
The second one is created by a suprgod,"
Peterson continued.
"Created by a suprgod? Really?"
Austin was too shocked at what he had just heard.
He swallowed hard before speak up again. "Can a god create a cosmos?"
"Yes, quite a few cosmos in the Sea of Chaos were created by the suprgods."
Peterson nodded his approval.
"However, only a god of chaos can create a cosmos.
Other gods, such as the preliminary-grade divine god, the medium-grade divine god, the premium-grade divine god, and even the
governing god, all have limited skill and are incapable of creating a cosmos.
The god of chaos is always with the chaotic void. He is also eternal, with no life or death. He controls the suprlaws of the
chaotic void.
There is a saying that the god of chaos is in charge of everything in the Sea of Chaos. All the cosmos and all the worlds are actually
operating according to the intent of this god,"
added Peterson.
It started to sound familiar to Austin, just like a stories and myths that he used to listen to.
He felt his scalp tighten as he thought of the magnitude and strength that the god of chaos could have.
All the cosmos were merely toys to the god of chaos.
Austin then collected his thoughts. Today, he had acquired precious and useful information about the ranks of the divine gods,
namely the preliminary-grade divine god, the medium-grade divine god, the premium-grade divine god, the governing god and
then the god of chaos.
The god of chaos was at the top of the food chain.
In any case, he was satisfied with such enlightenment. It was natural that even the suprdivine gods were ranked by their
power and strength.
"Master, is the god of chaos the supreme-most being among all things that exist?
Everything we see or even imagine is under the control of the god of chaos, right?
Then what is the third way of cosmos coming into being?"
Austin's curiosity were even more aroused by then.
"Well, a significantly huge part of the cosmos grew out of the chaotic world tree. They are the fruits of that tree, if you ask me!"
Peterson smiled at Austin's impatiently puzzled expression.
"What? So you are saying that the chaotic world tree can give birth to a cosmos? Oh, my!"
Austin felt his heart missing a beat.
"That's right. You didn't hear it wrong. The chaotic world tree is an actual miracle, and its fruits are the cosmos and the worlds
within it.
There are quite a few cosmos in the Sea of Chaos that were the offspring of the chaotic world tree.
Also, you know what? The chaotic world tree has its magical functions that could blow your mind.
Listen to this, any cosmos is be able to grow or upgrade when grafted onto the chaotic world tree!
That is to say, when a low-grade universe is grafted onto the chaotic world tree, it can continue to grow. Now, considering the
suprstatus and constitution of the chaotic world tree, it's possible for a low-grade universe to acquire and incorporate sof
the suprtree's essence into itself, thus it is possible for it to upgrade and develop into a middle-grade universe, a high-grade
universe, and even a supruniverse! That will depend on how hard its cultivators will work on it.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThink about it. Is the chaotic world tree precious or not?
You know, once the grade of a universe upgrades, all the creatures on it will get promotion after it!"
explained Peterson.
"Oh, | see!"
The potential of the chaotic world tree gave Austin a big surprise. He didn't expect to find such a miraculous effect.
Not only could it create a new cosmos, it could also upgrade the universe grade of an existing one.
"Thank you, master! Do you know what this means? If this is true, then | can graft the Fallen Immortal Cosmos into the chaotic
world tree and upgrade its grade!"
An idea suddenly struck Austin.
"Of course it is possible! But this is just one of the challenges that must be tackled in order to make it a possibility. How do you
think you can go back to the Fallen Immortal Cosmos when you have provoked so many divine gods in the three thousand big and
small universes?"
Peterson reminded with a sigh.
"Master, someday | will lead all the living creatures of the Fallen Immortal Cosmos and go back to our native homeland. When we
do, with will and determination, we shall rebuild it and return it to its former state.
As for these divine gods, | am not surprised that they would feel that way. But this is just fair game. | shall be ready and if needed, |
will give them the fight that they are asking for!" Austin said firmly.
At the thought of what had happened to the Fallen Immortal Cosmos, Austin's face turned cold.
