"Humph!" snorted Max coldly.

He was standing on the platform. He was dealing with the golden feathers that were galloping toward him. With a wave of his

hand, thick fog suddenly appeared.

Thousands of golden feathers shot into the black fog as if they had fallen into mud. Then their speed slowed down and their power

slowly weakened.

Finally, the golden feathers were suspended in the dark fog. They were motionless as if they were frozen.

A few moments later, the black fog faded away and the golden feathers disappeared as well.

After seeing what had just happened, the young cultivators of the Ji Clan behind Max breathed a sigh of relief.

They actually looked very pale and frightened.

Had it not been for Max who stopped the golden feathers, they would have all been dead now.

"Humph! You fools have the audacity to talk aboutbehindback?"

A golden figure suddenly walked in midair going to the platform.

He was clad in gold. He had a handsface, sharp eyes and golden hair. He looked as dazzling as the sun.

The man was Edward, the prince of the beast race.

Edward looked very arrogant. He stared at Max and the young cultivators of the Ji Clan with sharp eyes.

The young cultivators felt that Edward's biting stare went through their whole being. They were all tongue-tied.

Obviously, he was a terrifying person. Who would want to offend such a creature like him?

"I can't believe you accepted the challenge," said Max to Edward calmly.

The expression on his face had not changed at all.

"Ha ha! Are you kidding me?" answered Edward. "No one in the East Mainland can makeback down. Do you think you can? You

must be dreaming, man!"

Edward let out an infuriating laugh.

He looked so domineering as his blonde hair danced with the wind.

He was also surrounded by golden light that made him look like he was made of gold.

"You might have forgotten what you did to Paul last month. Don't you know that he is still bedridden up to now?" upbraided Max.

"Today, I'll surely make you pay for it," he added.

His expression was eerily calm. His eyes didn't show any emotions at all.

"Yes, | injured your cousin Paul. Don't worry, | am not yet a senile. | remember everything | did to him," answered Edward with a

smirk.

"But you cousin just deserved it. He hurt Peacock Princess of our beast race before. | only took vengeance for her."

An intense fury flashed through his eyes upon mentioning Paul's name.

"Actually, | was already kind enough for not killing him that time. If | ever see him again, | assure you, | will end his life in an

instant."

Max had finally realized why Edward almost killed his cousin.

"So, this was all about Peacock Princess. But, from what I've heard from many people, Peacock Princess is having an affair with

Austin. So since Paul had hurt her, | was expecting Austin to cand avenge her."

Max was really trying to provoke Edward.

"I'm just wondering, why are you here instead of Austin?"

"Shut up! Those people are talking nonsense!" shouted Edward.

Apparently, Max succeeded in igniting his anger.

"Our Peacock Princess was born in the purple. She is a noble woman. Austin is just a garbage from the human race. Do you really

think he is suitable to the princess of the beast race?" added Edward in clenched teeth.

"Austin only tarnished the reputation of our Peacock Princess. | will also kill him after I'm done with you. | will surely prove the

princess’ innocence."

Edward's eyes grew fiercer. The golden demonic aura around him rose to the sky and the light that emanated from him dazzled

even more.

The cultivators who were standing around the platform didn't dare to look him in the eye. Their cultivation bases were weak. They

wouldn't do anything stupid to upset this prince.

"Many people know that Edward likes Peacock Princess so much. He even wants her to be his future wife."

"Yes, that's true. However, it was also known to many that Peacock Princess had an affair with Austin three years ago. That time,

Edward was cultivating in seclusion. Now that he learned about it, it's impossible that he will let Austin go."

"I've heard that, too. However, since the base of the FlHoly Land was destroyed by various sects of the East Mainland, Austin

had disappeared and nobody knows where he is now."

"If that's the case, Edward will have difficulty in finding Austin. The chance of killing him is very low."

While watching Edward boil with anger on the platform, the young cultivators around were whispering to each other.

Everyone in the platform didn't know that Austin was only there, listening to them.

"I've never seen Edward before and I've never thought he would hatethis much. | think I'll be in an unexpected trouble, '

thought Austin inwardly.

He couldn't help but heave a sigh.

But knowing Austin, he was not the type of a person who would be afraid of Edward.

'If Edward will really cand trouble me, | will never flinch. Let's just wait and see, ' brooded Austin.

"Look! The Peacock Princess is here!" shouted someone from the crowd.

Everyone turned their gazes to where the man was pointing.

From a distance, they could see more than a dozen of beautiful girls coming towards them. Each was wearing a gauze dress. They

were so charming with their looming arms and buttocks. Every cultivator was surely fascinated by the sight of those girls.

The young girl standing in the middle was the most attractive one. She was dressed in a snow-white gown. She had a graceful

figure that made her look holy and beautiful.

The girl in the middle was Peacock Princess.

The moment Austin saw them, he already recognized her as Peacock Princess and the dozens of girls around her were her

maidservants.

Three years ago, Austin went to the Purple Moon Mansion alone to ruin a party that was being held there. During that time,

Peacock Princess was staying in a tavern in Celestial City with her maidservants.

After his mission, Austin wasn't able to return to the tavern.

Since then, he had not seen Peacock Princess for more than three years. He didn't even expect that he would run into her in Angel

City.

He knew that Peacock Princess was here for the opening of the Spiritual Tower.

"Wow! Peacock Princess is more beautiful in person," said one man.

"She is the Holy Daughter of the beast race. Will it be possible forto marry her?"

The man was only muttering to himself but Austin heard him.

And the voice sounded familiar to him.

"It's Bray!"

At the thought of him, Austin quickly scanned the crowd to look for Bray.

Austin immediately saw him staring at Peacock Princess with doting eyes.

‘This guy always says the sthing every the sees beautiful Holy Daughters of different sects and families, ' thought Austin

with a frown.

How could he believe that Bray was serious?

"Look! The Holy Son and the Holy Daughter of the Arcane Holy Land are here too," whispered one cultivator suddenly.

Then everyone saw rays of light streaming through the crowd from afar.

All of a sudden, two individuals were in front of them.

One was a man surrounded by a blazing purple light while the other was a graceful and noble woman.

They were Stephen and Polly - the Holy Son and the Holy Daughter of the Arcane Holy Land.

Austin had once met them in the Purple Moon Mansion.

Stephen and Polly, together with their fellow disciples stopped in midair. Apparently, they cto watch the battle between Max

and Edward.

"Hayden and Rena of the Han Clan are also here," whispered another one from the crowd.

A man and a woman galloped to the crowd from afar.

They then stopped in midair next to the platform.

Austin looked at the man and the woman quietly.

The man's white clothes were fluttering in wind, giving him an aura of a god. He was in his twenties and he had a pair of starry

eyes. He stood in midair with a calm yet inscrutable expression.

The girl was around seventeen or eighteen years old. She was wearing a purple dress which gave her a noble temperament.

But when she smiled, she was a different person. With a pair of starry eyes and a small dimple on her left cheek, she looked so

adorable and smart.

As tpassed by, more and more young masters also arrived.

Edward and Max were the elites of the younger generation in the East Mainland.

No wonder the fight between them really attracted a lot of young masters" attention.
