Austin turned his head and saw Belle. "Surprised to see you, Belle. Aren't you supposed to be in the Black-wind Beast World? When

did you get out?"

he asked in surprise.

"The Black-wind Beast World was locked down by the people of the three Holy Lands and the three honored clans. As a rule,

martial artists under the Divine Bridge Realm are only allowed to get out but we're prevented from going back in.

The place was absolutely exclusive now. Only the masters of the Minor-perfection Realm and those who have a higher level of

powers may set foot in that world.

People like me, whom they considered as faint of heart, has all been driven out,"

Belle said as she sighed in resentment.

"How could they be so arrogant

to forbid you to enter the Black-wind Beast World!"

Austin replied, after hearing Belle's words. He shook his head in annoyance and was thinking of something smart to say when Belle

started to explain.

"I guess, that's how it works!" Belle said as she shrugged her shoulders. "The world belongs only to the strong, and they are the

masters, and they give the rules. Who would dare say no to them?"

Belle replied bitterly. Her shoulder slumped from the weight of her pain.

Austin could not argue with her. She was right. Anywhere they went, strength ruled. The one who had the most strength had the

final say. Only the strong were allowed to govern. The weak were considered dust in the wind. They meant nothing to anyone. They

had no status or even the right to speak.

"Forget it. How about you coming back to the Xiao Clan with me?

From what | know, the Liu Clan has sent out smasters to search for you.

The FlEmperor's voice rang in Austin's Soul Sea.

"That is so nice of you, Belle. Thank you. Yes, | will go with you."

Austin nodded after thinking about it. Everything Belle said was true. He smiled bitterly. He had no idea how he would get a rise

out of a master of the Divine Bridge Realm in the Divine Continent.

"Please follow me,"

Belle said quietly, as she led the way forward. She started to move forward. Her eyes searched for any danger lurking in their

surroundings.

Austin and Caroline walked behind her. They were too tried to stay alert. But they could not let their guards down knowing they

were being hunted by a powerful master.

"Oh, isn't this Belle, the eldest daughter of the Xiao Clan?

| have not seen you for a long time. It's good to see you here," said a young man in a white gown as he signaled a group of people

to clear the way for them. The young man played around with his fan as he talked to her in a sarcastic tone, "Everyone is saying

you are intelligent and have a natural gift in martial arts.

But, um, it looks like you have never developed your gift. One year has passed since last twe met, and you're still at the

preliminary stage of Holy Realm."

The man was thin with a ghastly face. He had gray hair and dull eyes. He felt high and mighty over Belle because he was at the

medium stage of Holy Realm. He manifested an overbearing aura. His eyes twinkled as he stared maliciously towards Belle.

"Huh! It's you, Ladd!

| have nothing to say to you. Go away!" Belle replied angrily.

The moment Belle saw the man, her face turned red with rage and her eyes becicy cold.

She was beyond belief for Ladd's rapid progress. Just a year ago, they were both at the preliminary stage of Holy Realm. It was

unthinkable that he could break through to the medium stage of Holy Realm within such a short period.

"You are still a bad-tempered girl. | advise you to control your temper, or no one would marry you. You do not want to grow old

alone, right?"

Ladd laughed so hard at his own words. He was so arrogant and provoked Bella on purpose.

"Let's go," Belle said to Austin and Caroline.

She ignored Ladd, and was ready to leave.

"Wait up!" Ladd quickly moved in front of her and prevented her from leaving. "My younger brother, Rogan, had been killed in the

Black-wind Beast World. Does his death have anything to do with your Clan?"

His voice grew cold, and his eyes were fixed on Belle.

"We have nothing to do with that. Stop being foolish.

And you better get out of my way, unless you want to fight within the street."

Belle warned Ladd in a stern voice.

Ladd did not want to cause any trouble in public. "Now is not the place and tto fight with her, ' he thought. With this, he

stepped aside to make way for her and stretched his right arm to signal them to leave.

The Liu Clan and the Xiao Clan had a long history of conflict. Although they hated each other and had regarded each other as

mortal enemies for hundreds of generations, both families served as officials for the scourt. This mandated them to be civil

with each other especially if out in public.

Ladd was not allowed to attack Belle in the street. It would have a negative impact on his image and his clan.

As she saw Ladd stepped aside, Belle quickly gestured towards Austin and Caroline, "Let's get out of here."

They walked off as Ladd followed them with his vicious eyes.

"Bitch! Do you takeas a fool? | learned my brother cto the Black-wind Beast World because of you. His death must have

something to do with you.

| will wait for the right time. Soon, | will find out what really happened to my brother.

The light floated into the air and started to form a shape. It was a figure of what seemed to be a man. It was Austin.

"Yes! That's him!

Master Ladd, | remember! That guy murdered your brother. He was the one who killed Master Rogan!"

The attendant bechysterical and pointed his finger to the formed figure that was still floating in the air.

Hearing this, Ladd's face darkened at once. He was so angry that his eyes blazed with fury.

"Hurry! Go after them!"

Determined, Ladd moved and chased after Austin and his companions.

He followed their tracks and soon he caught up with Austin and the two girls.

By the moment he caught up with them, he saw them walking into a luxurious mansion being led by Belle.

Ladd stopped and gestured his men to stop as well.

"Master Ladd, why are we stopping?"

an attendant asked.

"Samuel is in there. Even if we follow them we still can't do anything to them. He will definitely intervene.

The Xiao Clan will not escape responsibility for my brother's death. But it will have to wait for now.

Ladd said, as he stared at the mansion for the last time. He clenched his fist as he mastered enough strength not to storm off and
