Chapter 185 She Left With His Baby The Billionaire's Secret Scandal 18 The Secret Pregnancy of the Billionaire's Ex-Wife Chapter 185: Wait ForSean POV The question caughtoff guard.
"Marriage? I would certainly like that," I admitted, surprising myself with my candor. "Do you think you could help convince your mother, Aria?" Before she could answer, Ethan appeared in the hallway. His expression-wary, calculating beyond his years-was a perfect mirror of Angela's when she felt threatened.
"Mr. Night, Aria and I have things to do. We're going back to our room now," he said firmly, extending his hand to his sister.
"But brother..." Aria protested.
"Now," Ethan insisted, castingone last suspicious glance before leading her away.
Alone again, I leaned back against the sofa cushions. Ethan's protectiveness toward his mother and sister was instinctive. Despite never having a father figure, he'd assumed the role of family protector.

My son. The thought still filledwith wonder and regret in equal measure. I could understand Angela and Ethan's wariness and rejection. After all, what had I done in the past five years except cause them pain? Yet, after last night, I felt renewed determination. Angela's body still responded to mine. Somewhere beneath her anger and distrust, something of what we once shared remained. It was enough to build upon.
I heard keys jingling at the door and quickly rose to my feet. Angela entered, juggling two takeout bags, her expression shifting from preoccupation to surprise when she sawstanding in the entryway.
"You're awake," she said, appearing tense and awkward. And I was no different. "Yes," I replied simply.
She set the bags down on the console table, keeping her gaze averted. "Since you're feeling better, you should go now. I won't keep you for breakfast." I moved toward the door as she'd suggested, but instead of leaving, I closed it firmly, turning back to face her. Her eyes widened slightly. "What are you doing?" I leaned down, chuckling softly against her neck, breathing in her familiar scent.
"Angie," I murmured, using her old nickname. "I've discovered sthings I didn't know before, so I'm not leaving. Not only am I staying, I'm going to pursue you twice as hard." I released her suddenly. "Con, let's have breakfast." She remained rooted, clearly processing my words. The confusion in her eyes toldshe was wondering what exactly I'd discovered. Good-I wanted her curious.
As she moved to follow with the breakfast bag, I turned back and took it from her hands.

She followedsilently to the kitchen, watching as I arranged everything on the table while maintaining a deliberately neutral expression. I could read her so easily, even after all these years.
After laying out the food, I raised an eyebrow. "You bought enough fortoo? And you said you wouldn't letstay?" My voice sounded hoarse-likely an aftereffect of last night's fever.
She crossed her arms, meeting my gaze calmly. "I eat double portions. Is that a problem?" I laughed softly. "That's fine, but today you'll have to share. I'll repay you double tomorrow, how about that?" I deliberately injected confidence into my tone, knowing it both irritated and affected her.
Before she could respond, I noticed her glance toward the hallway. Following her gaze, I glimpsed Ethan and Aria approaching. Angela quickly lowered her voice.
"No need to repay. Just eat and leave."
I couldn't help the smile that formed.

After breakfast, I checked my watch. Thomas would be waiting. "I have sbusiness to attend to, so I won't be able to see you off." Angela glanced up, relief poorly hidden in her expression. "That's good. Keep that level of busyness every day." My phone rang. "Downstairs already? Mm-hmm," I answered briefly.
"Mr. Night, you're leaving? You won't take Aria and brother to school m today?" Aria asked disappointedly.
Her attachment tostirred something profound in my chest.
"Yes," I nodded. "Mr. Night has important matters to handle today." paused before adding, "Once 'Once I've taken care of everything, I'll csee you every day. Only you two." Aria's eyes lit up at my promise, while Angela's expression tightened with anxiety.
I caught her studying me, frowning at my resolute tone.
I knew she was wondering what business I had. Perhaps she was connecting it to Christina's actions last night. She wasn't wrong.
I approached Angela suddenly, placing a kiss on her forehead. She froze completely, exactly as I'd expected.
Aria playfully covered her eyes in mock embarrassment, her childish gesture endearing. Ethan stood stunned, his usually composed expression filled with surprise.
As I pulled away, I found myself reluctant to leave. I placed another gentle kiss on her forehead.
"Wait for me," I whispered in her ear.
