Chapter 174 The Secret Pregnancy of the Billionaire's Ex-Wife Chapter 174: Five Years of Lies Unraveled Sean POV I wheeled Angela toward her hospital room, the twins walking quietly beside us. Just as we approached the door, I spotted two familiar figures ahead-Christina and William.

They actually dared to show up here? After what happened last night? The man had even tried to attack my child! "Angela! How are you feeling? Is your injury serious?" Christina called out, her perfectly modulated voice echoing in the sterile corridor.

Angela stiffened in the wheelchair. "Thank you for your concern. I'm fine." Christina's smile faltered slightly as she stepped closer, mouth opening to say more. I smoothly positioned myself between them, blocking her approach.

"The children need rest," I said firmly, guiding the wheelchair into the VIP room. Aria and Ethan slipped in beside their mother, both casting wary glances at the unwelcvisitors.

I stood at the threshold, my body effectively barring the entrance. Without another word, I closed the door in their faces, shutting out Christina's perfectly arranged expression of disappointment.

"Sean, what is this about? We just cto check on her. After last night's incident..." Christina's voice trailed off as we stood in the plush hospital corridor. "You've seen her now. You can leave." My tone left no room for negotiation.

Christina bit her lower lip, eyes glistening with practiced vulnerability. William stepped forward, his face flushed with indignation.

"What's your problem, man? We've been friends since college, and this is how you treat us? You're rude to me, fine but to Christina too?" His voice rose with each word. "Last night wasn't entirely my fault. Angela should apologize to Christina as well for-* "What did you say?" I cut him off, my voice dropping dangerously low. "Say that again?" William faltered momentarily before recovering his bravado. "Look, I know you're upset, but let's be realistic. You've been divorced from Angela for five years. Christina has been by your side all this time, and now-" "William, stop..." Christina tugged at his sleeve, playing the peacemaker. "It's okay. Angela is injured, and Sean should take care of her. It's the right thing to do." William shook his head vehemently. "Christina, you're too kind! What does Angela's injury have to do with Sean? She shamelessly returned after five years with children, trying to seduce-" I didn't let him finish. My control snapped like a taut wire. In one fluid motion, I grabbed his silk tie and drove my fist into his face. Before he could recover, I landed another blow to his opposite cheek.

Christina gasped, her carefully applied makeup creasing with genuine shock.

William staggered, then lunged atin blind fury. I easily sidestepped his clumsy attack, my years of physical discipline evident as I pinned him against the marble floor of the hospital corridor.

1/3 Chapter 174: Five Years of Lies Unraveled "Sean, please calm down," Christina pleaded, clutching my sleeve. "If you don't want to see us, we can leave." I increased the pressure on William's chest, my voice barely above a whisper. "William West, I'm warning you-my personal affairs are none of your business." I leaned closer. "If you're interested in Christina, pursue her properly instead of using her as an excuse to interfere in my life. I'm letting you off easy because of Angela's current condition." I tightened my grip for emphasis. "But if there's a next time, our friendship ends permanently." I released him and stood, straightening my watch. Unlike William, who lay disheveled on the floor, not a wrinkle marred my appearance.

*** Christina caught up toat the corridor's corner, leaving William to collect himself.

"Sean, I'm truly sorry about last night, but I genuinely ctoday because I was concerned about Angela...

"You've seen her now, haven't you?" I replied coldly.

"What?" Confusion flickered across her perfect features.

"I made myself clear years ago, but you never seem to listen." I turned to face her fully. "Christina, the most dignified thing an adult can do is understand when to stop. Why this fixation on me?" Her eyes flashed. "What about you? You talk about knowing when to stop, but what are you doing now? Aren't you fixated on Angela?" My expression hardened. "That's between her and me." "This is between us too..." Christina's voice softened. "Sean, I just have feelings for you." A cold smile touched my lips. "Fine. I won't ask you to give up, but stop using William to fight your battles." Color drained from Christina's face, panic momentarily cracking her perfect mask. "I'm not using him." "He's a fool for being manipulated, but are you really without ulterior motives?" I challenged. "Why bring him to the hospital today?" "I brought him so he could apologize," she insisted.

"Did he? An apology requires the right attitude. What attitude did you both show just now?" Christina remained silent, inwardly acknowledging she hadn't cfor an apology but to investigate the progress of my relationship with Angela.

"I couldn't control his emotions," she finally said.

"We both know that's not true." My tone remained uncompromising.

Tears welled in her eyes, though her eye makeup remained perfectly m intact. "Is this how you see me, Sean? Were I wish I were the one in that hospital bed, at least then you'd be taking care of me." She gestured to an expensive gift bag. "We really cto apologize.

2/3 Chapter 174: Five Years of Lies Unraveled "Until she recovers, I don't want anyone disturbing her rest. You should go." As I turned to leave, Christina caught my tie. "Do you want to get back together with her?" The question caughtoff guard. Did I?

The answer was clear in my heart-yes, I wanted to win Angela back Despite her coldness toward NO me, despite the misunderstandings between us, I wanted to rebuild what we'd lost. "Sean?" Christina's voice pulledfrom my thoughts, Something clicked in my mind-a memory, sharp and sudden. I gripped Christina's shoulders, making her flinch.

"Five years ago, you borrowed my phone." She stared at me, bewildered by this apparent non sequitur. "What?" The memory crystallized.

Five years ago, in my office-Christinal asking to use my phone because m hers had died. I had been tooo preoccupied with work to check the message notification that had arrived. Later, Christina had mentioned it was just spam and she'd deleted it for me. At the time, it had seemed insignificant. Now, it might be the key to understanding the five-year misunderstanding between Angela and me.

"Five years ago, you were in my office and borrowed my phone. Do you remember?" Christina nodded slowly. "Yes, but what does that have to do with-" She suddenly froze, her breath catching as realization struck her. The message from Angela about her pregnancy.

The truth was written plainly on her face, confirming my suspicion without a single word.
