Chapter 104 Cyrus' hands shook as he reached for the box. He had to see where Nancy had run off to this time, throwing one of her typical tantrums.
But as soon as he opened the lid, his face went pale.
The gift box slipped from his hands and hit the floor with a thud. Papers fluttered out and landed around his feet, strewn across the carpet.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe stared in disbelief at the "Divorce Agreement" lying there, seeing Nancy's nalready signed in her neat cursive.
"Nancy..." he murmured, his voice barely a whisper. Was she really leaving him? His knees buckled, and he collapsed to the floor, breath coming in ragged gasps as if an invisible hand was squeezing his throat.
A searing, heart-wrenching pain spread through his chest.
Caleb had been waiting outside and rushed in as soon as he saw Cyrus' reaction. "Mr. Gordon, are you- divorce papers..." God, what was he witnessing? Nancy was divorcing Cyrus! Before Caleb could regain his composure, Cyrus snatched the divorce papers and tore them to shreds, his eyes wild with fury.
"Find her, Caleb. Search high and low, leave no stone unturned until you find Nancy!" He growled, frustration evident, "I've given that woman everything, and now she wants a divorce? No way, not while I'm alive. I won't agree to it!" Caleb nodded, trying to keep his head down in the face of Cyrus' wrath. "Yes, sir..." But as Caleb turned to leave, Cyrus' icy voice cut through the air. "Caleb, first find out where Baldrick has been recently." How had Nancy managed to slip away so quickly? Who had helped her? Baldrick? Cyrus clenched his fists, his face twisted with rage. If Baldrick had indeed aided Nancy in leaving him, there would be hell to pay.
Meanwhile, far removed from the chaos back home...
The business conference was in full swing.
Nancy shot Judson a look that said it all, no words necessary.

"Of course," Judson assured her, nodding quickly before his gaze fell on Neil, standing by the car door. Neil, catching the glance, almost raised three fingers in a mock salute. "Mr. Buchanan, rest assured, I'll protect Miss Lena with my life if I have to, so long as you agree to becthe face of Evergreen Global." Nancy rolled her eyes slightly.
Judson chuckled despite himself. "You're nuts. Nancy, just cback soon from the party. I don't want you catching whatever he's got." She gave a small nod before heading off with Neil.
Once the car pulled away, Judson's smile faded, and he turned his attention back to the scene.
The silence was shattered by a car horn, and Judson looked overta see a sleek, limited edition Maybach pufling up close by.
Michael stepped out, flashing a mischievous grin. "Con, Judson, cthe conference can't start without its host." Judson scoffed but finally moved forward to join him.
As the car sped along, Nancy glanced at Neil, who seemed to finally relax, to and asked Mr. Neil, why do I get the feeling that you're afraid of Judson?"
