ASHANTI'S POV.

"Hsweet home!" I say, expelling a deep breath as Leonard parks in the driveway of the compound. The dinner date went better than I expected. He kept urgingto eat whatever I wanted and I nearly cracked my ribs with laughter because of the hilarious jokes he threw every now and then. Right now, I'm as bloated as a cow and my insides are jumping with excitement and satisfaction. I doubt if I'll be getting any sleep tonight. "If you tear my heart open right now, you'll literally see the sadness of letting you go swimming in it. I hate that tflew by so fast." He says, staring atwith his intense brown eyes. Shyness overwhelms me, making it impossible forto maintain eye contact with him. I start playing with my fingers resting on my lap as I try in vain to control my smile.

He's sweet, alright? It's nearly impossible to resist his charm.

"I had a good twith you, Leonard. Yes, it felt like a short time, but I still appreciate it." "I'm glad you did. Because I did too and I'll carry the memory of this night till the day we have another." My eyes glint in surprise as I look at him again. He nods, smiling. "If you don't mind, I'd love to take you out on another dinner date stand this taround, you get to pick where we'll go." My smile reaches my eyes. My eyes light up with delight.

Another dinner date with him sounds like an awesidea.

"That's if you want." "Of course I..." I quickly catch my blabbering mouth before I say something embarrassing. The idea of going out with him again sounds enchanting, but I need to calm down and not behave like an idiot.

I seal my lips shut, draw in a deep breath. Take a moment to breathe properly and gather my bearings before turning to face him again, this taround with a calm and collected composure and a less moronic smile on.

"Another dinner date sounds fantastic. I look forward to it." His eyes immediately light up and the smile on his lips widens.

"You have no idea how happy that makesfeel. Thank you." "For nothing." I say and go back fidgeting with my fingers. I am smiling and blushing and begging my heart to stop beating so fast. If it continues at this rate, Leonard might actually hear the sound of my heart beats. I will simply pass away if that happens.

"Alright then..." Leonard finally speaks again after several moments of spine chilling silence in the car. "I better get you in before Ryan comes out here to get you himself. I cannot afford to let that happen." He says, strapping off his seatbelt and stepping out of the car. I'm still giggling by the the comes over to open my seat door.

It's a good thing I'm older than Ryan. If he had been my older brother, he wouldn't let any man cclose to me. He's very protective and I love it. It makesfeel special.

"Thank you." I say, stepping out of the car. The mansion stands gracefully in front of us and cannolook at it without thinking about the man who made sure I was brought here. Alpha Reagan.

And I hate that the thought of him makessmile despite the fact that we are no longer together. Despite the fact that he has nothing to do with the happiness I'm feeling this evening. It's all sponsored by this amazing man standing before me. "For nothing. I'll walk you in." He takes my hand and we both turn around, towards the main entrance of the house. All colour drains from face when my gaze falls on him.

He's standing a few metres away from us in his usual calm and collected posture. Feet slightly apart, both hands shoved his trouser m pockets s with a no nonsense look on his face. My gaze meets his and electricity zaps between us. Without thinking, I quickly seize my hand from Leonard's hold and clench my fists by my sides. The audacious man starts walking towards us, still frowning like we've done something to offend him. X
