Kevin’s eyes were filled with disbelief!
He never imagined meeting such a lunatic!
“If you have a grudge against the Lake family, go to the main players of the Lake family! I’m just a nobody. Killing
me won’t help you!”
Zander stepped forward and held up two fingers at Kevin.
“One, your stupid son nearly hit us with his car yesterday...”
“Two, your butler lost his mind today and went to Optimus Clinic to pick a fight...”
“We’re here to toy with you and give the Lake family a warning. But we’re not in a rush. We have plenty of time and
energy7 to toy with the Lake family. The Lake family is still in the dark so far.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtKevin fell to his knees with a thump and begged Sean.
“Don’t kill me, please! I’ll agree to whatever requests you have. All I want is for you to let me live!”
Sean sneered and glanced at Zander. “Do you have a coin?”
“I happened to have one left.” Zander tossed it at Sean.
Sean flicked the coin into the air. With a loud clunk, the coin landed and rolled right in front of Kevin.
“Kevin Lake,” Sean said slowly.
“Yes!”
“Didn’t your butler call me a peasant? Isn’t your woman disgusted at me for being broke? I’m offering to buy your
company for a dollar. Will you say yes?”
Kevin dared not say anything else at this point. He nodded repeatedly to Sean.
He stood up and said, “Y-Yes. I’ll start drawing up the contract now.”
Seeing Kevin’s reaction, Sean chuckled indignantly.
“Kevin.”
“Yes...”
“You’re still the chairman of the company, but you don’t have any more power. Got it?”
“Yes!”
“I’ll send someone to keep an eye on you at all times. I’ll leave you to handle the Lake family’s information and
situation.
When I trample over the Lake family, I don’t mind sparing you some profit if you have been good.”
“Yes! Yes!” Kevin nodded.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHalf an hour later, Sean left with his men. It was quite a spectacle when Kevin brought the whole company out to
see them off.
As Sean’s minivan led more than 70 Hummers away, Kevin had mixed feelings.
He glanced at the man Sean had planted beside him and shuddered again.
He had lost his son overnight, became Sean’s prisoner, and had to be a spy in the Lake family. At this point, he
could only pray that the day Sean overthrew the Lake family, Sean would fulfill his promise instead of killing him.
The woman beside him was pale. She was regretful.
If she had known Sean’s identity, she would never have dared to say such outrageous things to Sean. However,
there was no use crying over spilled milk.
She and Kevin were in this together now.
Kevin was still valuable, but what about her?
