away her tears nonstop.
Miranda was a mess of tears, completely overwhelmed by her emotions. It seemed Greta had finally realized that
the one person who had loved her unconditionally was about to leave her. From now on, there'd be no one to
protect her so selflessly. She was also wiping
Nathalie, on the other hand, kept her cool. She even threw in a few sharp words, "Why all the tears now? You
never showed him any respect when he was alive. Now he's gone, and suddenly you're the doting daughter?
Greta, aren't you tired of keeping up the act all your life?"
Greta shot her a fierce look, "Nathalie, that was my dad. He's leaving, and you have no idea how much it breaks
my heart."
Nathalie just sneered, "Everyone says you've lost it, but | don't see any madness here. You've played the crazy
card and now you're the dutiful daughter. Where's the insanity?"
The folks around them eyed Greta with judgment, their gazes laced with disdain.
Greta felt humiliated and held a special grudge against Nathalie, always looking for a comeback, "Nathalie, enjoy
your moment while you can. It won't last. When Nathan's true identity comes out, it'll be my turn to sit back and
watch the show."
Nathalie's lovely face grew tense as she locked eyes with Greta. People called her crazy, but her eyes were sharp
and clear-she didn't seem mad at all. Her words hinted at something deeper.

"If you want to know, paya visit more often." Greta blew her a kiss, feeling on top of the world.
Suddenly, Miranda's piercing wail cut through their conversation. "Honey, how could you leavehere all
alone? If you must go, takewith you."
Patrick finally closed his eyes, ending his bizarre life journey. Miranda cried like she was about to pass out from
grief, a sight that tugged at the heartstrings.
Yet, Nathalie couldn't wrap her head around Miranda's sorrow: Patrick had scorned her, even left her, so why was
she so shattered by his death?
Miranda was grieving like she was ready to join him: "Honey, why didn't you takewith you? What am |
supposed to do now?"
Nathalie stepped in, lifting her up from the ground, "You've still got me."
But with Patrick gone, Miranda seemed to shed all her inhibitions. Her eyes were bloodshot as she lashed out at
Nathalie with her frail hands, it's all your fault, you're the bad tuck that led him to an early grave. You made the
rest of his life miserable. You're a jinx."
Miranda's bitterness played out like a movie, the screen showing all the struggles and pain Nathalie had faced
earlier in life. She weathered Miranda's baseless anger: "He wronged me, yet you're blind to it. Today, you've lost
your husband, and I'm not going to argue with you. But if you keep acting this way, |
