Chapter 365
Even though Gavin disliked crowded places, he was willing to endure an environment that normally irritated him
just to accompany Yolanda.
Just as they reached the edge of the crowd, two people in front left. Yolanda took the opportunity to pull Gavin
along and squeeze them in. They saw a familiar face when they got inside the throng of onlookers.
"You flatter me. This is just something I casually drew during my break tone day. | didn't expect it to be
selected for the exhibit." Rachel stood beside the drawing, explaining modestly to the surrounding audience.
"But | really enjoy drawing. I'll work harder to do better in the future!" Rachel added proudly.
"Rachel could paint-and she could paint well?" Yolanda thought incredulously, wondering if she had misheard.
She instinctively looked up at the display wall behind her, and what she saw made her freeze in shock.
The drawing on display was a sketch she casually did when she was bored. Since she had only drawn it
absentmindedly and hadn't even planned to color it, she hadn't noticed when the drawing went missing.

Who would have thought that Rachel had taken it and shamelessly passed it off as her own work?
"So humble at such a young age. She's bound to achieve great things in the future."
"I think you have a solid foundation. With skills like these, you're more than qualified to apply to the Art
Department of Creybia University."
"I never expected to see such a talented artist in Riverdale City. It looks like this trip wasn't in vain!"
An art critic from a big city couldn't stop praising Rachel. "Do you have any other works forto appreciate?"
"I'm sorry, but | don't have any pictures of my other pieces," Rachel replied with a polite smile after hesitating for
a while.
"Ah, what a pity..."
Sparents of other students couldn't help but lament.
"I'd be so proud if my child had half your talent."
"We've spent so much money on art classes since he was young, but it's been useless!"
Rachel couldn't hide the pleased expression on her face as the praises poured in. She knew that many experts
would be visiting the exhibition, so she had dressed up specifically for the occasion. This was the scenashe
had yearned for and had never experienced before.
Rachel becso carried away that she started to truly believe that the painting was her own creation, rather
than something she had stolen from someone else.
Suddenly, a voice from the crowd snapped Rachel back to reality. "This drawing is indeed well done, but I'd like
to hear you talk about its content and its meaning."
Yolanda's words were like a bucket of cold water that froze Rachel from head to toe. However, she quickly
recovered from the shock and remembered that she had signed her non the artwork.
Even if Yolanda had exposed her to everyone, no one would have believed the words of someone they
considered useless. Moreover, many believed Yolanda had gotten into the academy through connections.
At least for now, Rachel's reputation in the academy was far better than Yolanda's. As long as she firmly claimed
that Yolanda was slandering her out of jealousy, Yolanda would have no way to refute it. Given the preconceived
notions of the crowd, they would all take Rachel's side.
After thinking things through, Rachel's expression relaxed a bit.
She took a deep breath to steady her wildly beating heart and calmly replied, "As | mentioned earlier, | drew this
casually on a whim. It doesn't have any specific thor meaning."
"Hey! Isn't this that worthless Yolanda Henderson who got into Class A through connections?" one of Rachel's
classmates spoke mockingly from the crowd.
Taking advantage of the fact that most of the onlookers weren't from the academy, Rachel's classmate raised her
voice and said mockingly, "Also, it's not like you understand art. | bet even if Rachel explained it to you, you
wouldn't get it. Don't pretend that you know what you're talking about.
"Everyone in the academy knows what kind of person you truly are!"
