Chapter 321
Leon crouched down, and sure enough, the three acupuncture needles were scattered under Adrian's bed.
"Maybe the patient's unstable pulse caused the needles to fall out," he said, breathing a sigh of relief as he
turned to Bailee standing behind the others.
"Good thing Bailee's on shift today, or we'd really be in trouble. Bailee, hurry up and redo the acupuncture to
stabilize his condition! I'll get Dr. Juniper prepped for surgery!"
"W-what?"
Bailee broke out in a cold sweat. Her face turned pale, and her lips began to tremble. She deeply regretted what
she had done earlier.

She had pulled out those three acupuncture needles during the room check. Right before she left the room, she
remembered Yolanda's warning from yesterday -"Do not remove the acupuncture needles."
Bailee, unwilling to be told what to do by someone she saw as incompetent, had pulled them out anyway.
But as soon as she removed the needles, all the machines started blaring alarms. Panicked, she quickly fled the
room. She only blended in with the other nurses when they arrived, pretending she had just shown up.
She had hoped that with the urgency of the situation, Leon would be too busy preparing for surgery to notice.
But now, to her horror, he was asking her to perform the acupuncture. The problem was-she didn't know how.
"Bailee! Stop standing there! This is life or death-move it!" Leon barked, noticing Bailee frozen in place behind
the group.
Bailee, trapped with no way out, could only stammer, "Dr. Gotham... I... | can't treat him..."
"Bailee, this is no tfor jokes!" Leon's expression darkened as he snapped, "Get over here and start the
acupuncture!"
"I'm not joking, I really..."
Bailee was scrambling to cup with an excuse, but Leon cut her off harshly, "What nonsense are you talking
about? You saved this patient yesterday, and now you're saying you can't treat him?
"His condition now, no matter how bad, is better than it was after the accident! How can you not be able to treat
him?
"Bailee, if you keep stalling and something happens to this patient, the hospital will have difficulty explaining it
to the Fuel family!"
Bailee's eyes glazed over as she sunk into complete despair. "Dr. Gotham, this situation isn't like before. I..."
"Dr. Gotham, how's my son doing?"
At that moment, Logan and Monica burst into the room.
"We heard his condition is unstable! Didn't you say yesterday he was out of danger? How is he unstable after just
one night?"
Monica took one look at Adrian, lying weak on the hospital bed, and nearly fainted.
Logan's expression was grim as he demanded an explanation from Leon. "I need you to explain this to me."
"Mr. Fuel, Mrs. Fuel, don't worry. With Bailee here, your son is in good hands!" Leon quickly tried to reassure
them.
"Look at how weak he is, and you say he's fine?" Monica screamed, her voice filled with panic. "Is this what your
hospital means by taking responsibility?"
