Chapter 320
"I can only say that your three fainting spells are likely related to this capsule, but we'll need a lab test to
determine the exact ingredients," Yolanda said.
Yolanda didn't have professional equipment on hand, and it wasn't convenient to run the tests herself. If Maria
agreed, she planned to have Dunstan take the sample to a specialized research lab.
Yolanda flipped the bottle over, studying the label closely. To her surprise, the pharmaceutical company's name
was Henderson Group. Remembering the information she had received from Melina earlier, her frown deepened.
"Mrs. Singer, how about this? Willow Creek Clinic will buy this supplement from you. Nyour price, and I'll
pay."
"Oh, no need, no need! My daughter didn't even pay for it. If you want to study it, it's yours." Maria generously
waved her hand.
"By the way, Mrs. Singer, which pharmaceutical company does your daughter work at?"

"She works at Riverdale's second plant. It's an old company. Back then, much of the medicine we used came
from that plant."
"Alright, I'll get this sent off for testing right away," Yolanda said as she handed the supplement bottle to
Dunstan.
Meanwhile, things were far from calm at the special ward on the second floor of Westside District Hospital in
Riverdale, where Adrian had been rushed in yesterday.
After Yolanda's emergency treatment, Adrian's condition stabilized. They were just waiting for the specialists to
develop a suitable surgery plan.
But for sunknown reason, the nurse on the morning shift suddenly
discovered Adrian's condition had taken a turn for the worse. All his vital signs had dropped to critical levels, and
his situation was now dire.
The alarms on all the monitoring devices in the special ward went off at once. Their relentless beeping echoed
like a death knell, throwing the medical staff into chaos.
"What the hell happened? Wasn't the patient's condition stable just last night?"
Leon, who had just rushed in for his morning shift, didn't even have tto change out of his street clothes
before heading straight to the special ward. "Dr. Gotham... We're not sure..." The nurse stammered, clearly
panicked.
"All his vitals were stable. It was right around the shift change, and then out of nowhere, his condition started to
deteriorate.
"Could it be something unrelated to the accident? Maybe a complication with his own body? But that's highly
unlikely..."
The nurses on duty exchanged puzzled glances, unable to make sense of the situation.
Adrian's condition hadn't been urgent enough for immediate surgery before, but now his vitals were plummeting,
and an operation was the only way to save him.
"We don't have tfor a meeting! We need to operate as soon as possible!" one of the doctors suggested.
"But if his condition isn't stable, even with surgery, the chances of failure are incredibly high."
Leon's expression grew serious as he approached Adrian's bed. Just as he was about to check his patient's
condition, he noticed something odd-three acupuncture needles were missing.
"Wait, there were five acupuncture needles here before, and now there are only two!" Realizing the severity of
the situation, Leon furrowed his brow and barked at the medical staff behind him, "Who touched the acupuncture
needles on the patient?"
The rest of the staff exchanged nervous glances, all of them looking confused.
"We didn't touch them!"
"This is life or death! Why would any of us pull out the needles?"
Leon turned back, carefully searching around the bed, but still couldn't find the missing acupuncture needles.
"Dr. Gotham, look under the bed. Is that an acupuncture needle?"
One of the sharp-eyed nurses pointed under Adrian's bed, where something shiny caught her attention.
