Chapter 317
Yvonne continued to whine, "I know | was wrong! But | really care about you both! | hope we can always be as
close as we used to be!
"I know Yolanda has always hated me, but I really tried to please her. Yet she still mockedand claimed that
everything in the Henderson family would belong to her in the future, which is why | made a foolish mistake and
lied to you!"
"Yolanda really has no shame! Your father and I are both well; how can she say such things?" Diana frowned in
displeasure.
Harold observed Yvonne's expression but didn't respond. However, doubt began to form in his mind. Was what
Yvonne said true?
Unlike Diana, Harold had encountered many people in the business world, including many who seemed sincere
but were actually full of lies.
He had always believed Yvonne was obedient and sensible because she was his daughter.

But after yesterday's events, he realized that this seemingly understanding daughter could also lie and act
cruelly for her own benefit.
The thought that Yolanda had taken him to the hospital, only to have Yvonne frher, felt like a heavy stone
weighing on his heart.
Yet, as a father and the head of the family, his pride wouldn't allow him to apologize to Yolanda.
This matter would have to remain unresolved.
Afterward, Diana comforted Yvonne a bit as if she were the one who was wronged.
Once back in his study, Harold reviewed the electronic version of the contract he had signed with Dunhill Group
earlier and decided to discuss it seriously with Yolanda soon.
"She brought this upon herself." In her room, Yolanda was having a voice chat with Gavin.
She recounted what had just happened, including the text she sent to Joel. Joel sent Yehuda to expose Yvonne's
true colors, and once that task was completed, he could leave.
Yolanda also promised Joel to visit the hospital the next day for another check-up on jude.
"I can imagine that after | went upstairs, she would probably act pitiful and twist the truth in front of those two."
She could easily picture Yvonne playing the victim, claiming she was frequently bullied.
"She is a bit clever, but sometimes, intelligence can backfire."
Gavin moved to the window with his phone.
"Someone as suspicious as Harold must have started to doubt her habit of lying."
"She only has herself to blame."
Yolanda shifted her gaze, catching a glimpse of the moon in the night sky through the window.
"By the way, do you have any plans for the last day of the Art Festival?"
"I have no plans if you want to invite me." As usual, Gavin would devote all his tto Yolanda if he could.
"Let's go see the art exhibition. I've heard that sstudents at the First Academy have decent skills in
traditional painting."
Of course, Yolanda referred to genuine talents rather than those like Yvonne, who inflated her scores.
Yolanda had always been interested in traditional painting. Even though her skills were far beyond grading, she
still enjoyed appreciating different art styles.
"Sounds good."
For Gavin, as long as it was something Yolanda wanted to do, he would accompany her.
"Make sure to rest early tonight, then."
After chatting with Gavin, Yolanda hung up and began her workout.
She had set aside a small area of the original Yolanda's bedroom as her training space. Her current physical
condition was still not strong enough to handle her previous high-intensity workouts, so she had to practice daily
until her body could match the intensity she aimed for.
She made a training schedule, estimating she could reach her goals within a year.
This was the physical and feasible limit for an average person. Luckily, she had learned stechniques on
enhancing physical abilities from Jay before her rebirth; otherwise, she would be at a loss now.
Just as she finished her workout and was about to shower, she suddenly heard a faint noise at her door, as if
someone had arrived outside her bedroom.
