Chapter 312
"I just feel that you work too hard, Dad. You leave early and chlate. | want to help share sof the
burden," Yvonne said with a gentle smile as she served a piece of fish to Harold.
"Even though I'm still in school, | read financial magazines when | have the time, hoping to be of assistance
when the company needs it."
"You're so thoughtful, Yvonne!" Diana exclaimed. Although she had recently been impressed by Yolanda's
demeanor, she still found Yvonne's obedience and understanding far more comforting.
In contrast, Yolanda's behavior, such as often staying out late after school, made Diana worry that if she relied on
Yolanda, things could go seriously wrong-like Harold getting hospitalized for a gastric perforation.

Although Yolanda seemed focused on her meal, she was actually keenly observing their expressions.
Seeing Yvonne's smugness made her reconsider her decision not to confront her about yesterday's lie. Suddenly,
she pulled out her phone and sent a message, then resumed eating as if nothing had happened.
"All you know to do is eat! That's all you know!" Diana criticized. She continued to praise Yvonne, hoping it would
inspire Yolanda to be more responsible and stop her reckless behavior. Yet, Yolanda showed no reaction and
remorse for what had happened.
"If you hadn't been out playing and had answered your phone yesterday, Yvonne wouldn't have had to skip her
evening class to find out about your dad's accident!" Diana scolded.
"Mom, don't blYolanda. | bet she feels really guilty right now," Yvonne chimed in, pretending to be
understanding while subtly fueling Diana's resentment against Yolanda.
"Guilty?" Diana scoffed. "She looks quite pleased! All she does is laze around. If she keeps this up, she won't
even make it to college, let alone graduate from the First Academy!"
Suddenly, she remembered something else and glared at Yolanda."You'd better break up with Gavin! He should
be Yvonne's fiance, not yours. How can you steal your sister's boyfriend without caring about what others think?
"And with your current behavior, the Savage family would never accept you. Don't even think about it!"
Yolanda looked up with a chilling look flashing in her eyes. She grew up in a loving environment, so it was hard
for her to fathom that her mother would speak to her like this.
Even if Yolanda wasn't considered exceptional in Diana's eyes, it was unfair for her to trample on her daughter's
self-esteem like this.
Yolanda couldn't help but feel anger rather than sadness; the original Yolanda had harbored hopes and
attachments to her family until her final moments. However, Yolanda realized that neither Diana nor Harold was
worth that sentiment.
All thoughts of revenge would be hers to carry out.
"Yolanda, I'm talking to you. Are you listening?" Diana grew increasingly frustrated at Yolanda's silence and
slammed her hand on the table. "I'm going to make sure that _"
Suddenly, a loud and urgent doorbell rang, cutting her off.
The housekeeper rushed to answer the door and saw a group of uniformed men standing outside, causing her to
freeze momentarily.
Having worked in the Henderson residence for so long, she had never encountered such a scene and felt
flustered. However, she quickly opened the door and called out to the dining room, "Mrs. Henderson, Mr.
Henderson, we have guests..."
