"It's really late now, and there are no cabs around here. | was worried that you wouldn't be able to head back
even after you cdown so since | have nothing else to do, | just waited for a little while."
After Yolanda entered her car, Sharon asked, "Where's your fiance?"
"He has sother things to deal with, so let's head back without him."
"Okay."
Sharon buckled her seatbelt and cranked up the air conditioner.
"If you have nothing to do, let's go have supper."
Yolanda glanced at Sharon. Initially, even though they weren't that close, Sharon still waited for her in the middle
of nowhere for so long. So, she nodded and said, "Sure."
In response, Sharon smiled.
"What do you feel like eating? I'll buy you supper."
"Hey, I'm older! How can | allow you to pay?" Sharon was quick to reply.

"Don't worry. With where I'm at right now, | have no problem buying you supper." Yolanda looked at Sharon
pretending to be old and mature and smiled.
According to Sharon's age, she should still be working hard to enter university. However, she heard that Sharon
didn't have great results, so she went to vocational school instead. Yolanda wondered if she would continue her
studies now that she was wealthy.
Sharon seemed to have read Yolanda's mind as she said, "After we becwealthier, my dad hired someone to
getinto university for three years of undergraduate studies followed by two years of graduate studies to do
business management.
"It means that | would only need to study for two more years to get a college degree so no one would look down
onwhen | work alongside my dad doing business."
What Sharon didn't tell Yolanda was that her father's business was recently cash- strapped. Initially, it wasn't
that big of a deal since all they needed to do was apply for a bank loan, and after a few months, they would be
able to overcthis crisis.
However, because their family didn't have much connections, the loan application was still pending even after a
very long time.
This was also why Sharon didn't dare to say anything back when Queenie ridiculed her at the cocktail party just
now.
The Thompson family was very powerful in Riverdale. If she were to cross Queenie, all Queenie needed to do was

Sharon headed to Le Jardin swiftly. After parking her car, as she walked with Yolanda to the restaurant, she
chirped, "Le Jardin is really famous for their appetizers. We can order more later-"
Before she could finish her sentence, she suddenly stopped in her tracks. Her face stiffened unnaturally.
Yolanda followed her gaze and saw a group of men and women coming from the opposite end of the road,

When Sharon saw him, she balled her fists, and anger was palpable in her eyes. "Do you know them?" Yolanda
asked.

Sharon nodded. "The one with the ear stud is my ex boyfriend of two years, Johnny Zule. He cheated on me
recently and refused to admit it even after | found out."
"You broke up with him after that, right?"
"es."
Her personality may have been demure, but this was a matter of principle. She wouldn't drag on matters like
these.
She may be heartbroken, but after she saw Johnny's true colors, she dumped him right away.
