Chapter 111
"Don't waste the bank tellers’ time!"
Noel had always disliked Yolanda and often spoke ill of her in front of Elaine. Elaine, who frequently attended
parent-teacher meetings for Noel, knew that Yolanda was looked down upon at school and had ended up in
juvenile detention.
"Could you please helpcash this check?" Yolanda ignored Elaine's sharp remarks and addressed the teller
directly.
"Huh? How does an adopted daughter have a check? Even if the Henderson family is generous, they wouldn't
give that much of an allowance to an adopted daughter!"
In junior high school, Yvonne had spread rumors that Yolanda was just an adopted daughter brought in from the

true.
Now, seeing Yolanda cto the bank to cash a check, Elaine thought it was the biggest joke. "What family
would give a useless adopted daughter that much money? Did you steal it from home? Or are you trying to pass
a fake check to scam the bank?"
Elaine knew Yolanda was not favored in the Henderson family, and even Yvonne didn't need a check to cash her
allowance. So, how could Yolanda have a check? The first thought that crossed her mind was that it was either
stolen or fake.
"Tell the truth-did you steal this check from your family?" Elaine stepped forward and snatched the check from
the counter.
Upon seeing the amount written on it, she froze. "100 million?"
She then examined the details on the check, specifically the amount and the stamp. However, aside from the
signature that she couldn't read, she found no signs of forgery.
When Elaine realized the check was genuine, her expression turned even colder. "Speak! Did you steal this
check?"
With that, she stuffed the check into her pocket, and her face darkened as she pointed at Yolanda. "If you don't
tellthe truth, I'll call the police! You're an adult now, you know? This time, it's not just about sending you
back to juvenile detention!"
Onlookers and bank employees nearby turned to Yolanda and cast her scornful glances.
"She has sticky fingers at such a young age! If this keeps up, she'll be robbing banks when she grows up!"
"I heard that she just got out of juvenile detention. People like her are a cancer to society!"

"Didn't you hear she's an adopted daughter? She bites the hand that feeds her, just like an ingrate!"
Many pointed at Yolanda. No one believed that any family would give such a large sum to a worthless adopted
daughter. Even if she were a biological child, no one her age should be handling that much money!
Yolanda looked coldly at Elaine. "You have no right to question where my check comes from. Call your bank
manager over now!"
Elaine was infuriated by Yolanda's dismissive attitude toward her position. "Call the manager? What gives you
the right to demand that?
"Tellhow you got a check for 100 million! You're not planning to empty the Henderson family's assets and
run away, are you?"
Just then, a middle-aged man's voice cfrom behind Elaine. "What's going on? Why all the noise? It's office
hours now. Making such a commotion in the lobby is completely inappropriate!"
Feeling as if she had scored a point, Elaine quickly spoke up. "Mr. Neal, you cat the right time. | caught a
check thief!"
