Chapter 339
Elysia still gave a quick nod. “I'm good. Not hurt,” she said, her voice steady.
Justin visibly relaxed, his shoulders sagging in relief. He let out a breath he didn’t realize he'd been holding.
“That's a relief,” he muttered, mostly to himself.
Elysia’s smile softened as she watched him unwind. Anyone who saw them together might wonder what was
going on between them.
Then, on a sudden impulse, she grinned and leaned in just a little. “Do you like me?” she asked, her tone playful
but direct.
Justin froze, his mind going blank. His heart started pounding, and he felt a rush of excitement. She was
definitely different
-most girls wouldn't just cout and ask like that.
He looked into her clear eyes, feeling a tug of conflict inside. He knew about Elysia’s connection to the CEO of
the Hartley Group, but he still wanted to hear her answer.
He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself, and then locked eyes with Elysia. “If | say yes, how would you
react?” Elysia’s smile vanished as she heard him say yes. She'd braced herself for the possibility, but hearing it
from Justin still left her feeling off-balance, her thoughts jumbled.
Justin waited for her response, but when she stayed quiet and her expression turned serious, he got the message
loud and clear. She didn’t feel the sway.
A flicker of disappointment crossed his mind, but he quickly pasted on a casual grin. “Just kidding. Did you really

Elysia let out a sigh of relief, her shoulders relaxing. If it was true, every encounter would be incredibly awkward.
But if Justin didn’t have those feelings for her, maybe they could actually be friends.
Justin broke into Elysia’s thoughts. “Girls who aren’t gentle aren't really my type,” he said.
Elysia felt frustrated. ‘Does he mean I'm not gentle?’ She realized she'd judged too quickly, and someone who
put her down wasn’t worth keeping in her life. “If you have nothing else, take care,” she said, then walked away
without waiting for a
response.
As she left, the smile on Justin's face slipped away, replaced by a flicker of disappointment.
He loved her wild, carefree vibe and that she didn’t care about the usual rules. He liked her just the way she was,
but deep down, he knew she didn’t have room for him in her heart.
He lied to keep things chill and to make sure she didn’t push him away. At least this way, they could still hang
out as friends.
Meanwhile, Edward had his arm around Quinita as they walked out of the airport. A private car was waiting for
them outside.
The driver stood by the car, looking respectful, and as the couple approached, he gestured warmly, “Mr. Evans,
Mrs. Evans, right this way.”
Edward helped Quinita into the car, making sure she was comfy before leaning over to tell the driver where to
go. Once he got in, Quinita spoke up from the backseat, “Edward, aren't we going to the Janssen family?”
Edward shook his head, clearly ticked off. “Why would | go to the Janssens after they disrespected Elysia? They

to us and apologize”
He caught himself and softened his tone when he spoke to Quinta. “Hey, | went upset with you. It's just 1 Carit
day calen thinking about what the Janssens did to Elycia?
Quinita gave his hand a gentle squeeze and smiled. “I get it she said quietly.
Edward nodded and gave her hand a reassuring squeeze back. “Alright, ler’s head to the hotel for now. We'll pick
Elysia up once school’s out this afternoon. Sounds good?
“Sounds good,” Quinita replied, her smile softening his worry,
The car rolled through Sivro and pulled up to the Eveona Hotel. The manager and his staff were already waiting
outside. As Edward and Quinita got out, the manager tipped his head respectfully. “Mr. Evans, Mrs. Evans he
greeted.
Edward nodded and helped Quinita out of the car. He then turned to the manager, who was with them. ‘Everyone
else can go. Just you stay with us,” he said.
“Sure, Mr. Evans.” The manager nodded and turned to the staff. “Everyone, you're done for now. You can go
“Understood,” the staff replied,
Once the others left, the manager gestured toward the door. “Mr. Evans, Mrs. Evans, please follow me.”
Edward nodded. “Let's go.”
They headed up to the top floor and stepped into the Presidential Suite. As soon as they walked in, Edward and
Quinita spotted snew photos on the wall-pictures of Fabian and Elysia.
They moved closer to get a better look, their eyes drawn to Elysia’s smiling face. Quinita stood there, staring
thoughtfully.

The manager stepped in to explain. “Mr. Fabian Evans and Ms. Evans were here a few days ago. He asked us to
hang these photos.”
The Eveona Hotel belonged to the Evans family empire, and Fabian, who founded the Fabian Group, was equally
respected by the manager.
Edward glanced at the photos on the wall and felt a twinge of envy. He decided he needed to get snice pics
taken with his daughter while he was in Sivro-and he wanted just as many as Fabian had up there.
Quinita’s eyes sparkled with amusement. “Our daughter is so photogenic, way prettier than Fabian,” she said
with a smile.
How could that rascal ever compare to our daughter?” Edward chimed in, laughing.
The manager, standing behind them, overheard their chat and glanced at the photos. Both Elysia and Fabian
were seriously good-looking, equally matched. If he had to pick, he'd say they were both insanely attractive-
maybe even more so than movie stars.
He almost doubted his ears when Edward called Fabian a rascal. It didn’t fit Fabian at all.
His mind flashed with Fabian’s cool, handsface and the quiet authority he exuded. It seemed odd that
someone who commanded the business world would be called a “rascal” by his own dad. It was like calling a
glacier “warm*-it just didn’t
fit.

Meanwhile, the Janssen family was in total chaos. Ever since Bianca got taken away by the cops, Denzel had
been working every angle he could think of, but nothing was helping.
