Chapter 471 Scum like this shouldn't be kept around.
Alaric hadn't anticipated Neil's arrival, and with it, the atmosphere abruptly changed. Instinctively, Alaric looked
towards Stellan.
Stellan's face showed no expression, which made Alaric a bit nervous.
Although Neil cuninvited, as the host, Alaric had to warmly welchim.
"Neil, you cat the right time," Alaric quickly instructed the servant, "Hurry and get a set of tableware for
Neil."
"No need," Neil said, "I just saw your press conference today. You said you were officially returning to work, and
you looked in good spirits. | happened to have sfree ttonight, so | cto see you. It seems you are
really recovered, so I'm relieved. You all continue eating; I'll be on my way."
"Neil, since you're here, how can | let you leave?" Alaric quickly stopped Neil, "Tonight, it's just our family of five
and Cormac's family, no outsiders. | just recovered and can't drink, and Cormac was just worried about not
having someone to drink with."
Cormac quickly added, "I was just worried about not having a drinking buddy. You cat the perfect time."
Cormac had been thinking of going to the police station to find Neil tomorrow, but since he ctonight, he
must try to let Neil stay.
Aside from investigating cases, Neil had a fondness for drinking. Upon hearing Cormac's invitation to share a few
glasses, he immediately discarded any intention of leaving.
"Alright then, since there's good wine, I'll stay for a few drinks," Neil said.
So Neil sat down at the table, and Alaric quickly introduced him, "Neil, this is Cormac's wife, Rowena, and this is
their child, Aurora."
"Officer Neil, hello," Rowena quickly stood up and greeted politely.
Rowena greeted, "Hello."
"Neil, hello," Aurora also greeted politely.
Neil said, "Hello, Aurora."

Alaric said.
"Sure," Neil said, "I always drink casually, no need to persuade me."
"Officer Neil must have an impressive tolerance for alcohol. Here, this drink is on me," Cormac declared, raising
his glass and downing it in one swift motion.
Once Neil started drinking, he completely let loose.
The dining atmosphere was particularly good, though a bit strange. Alaric kept watching Stellan, who hadn't said
a word since Neil arrived, but she was gracious and kept smiling.
Drinking inevitably prolonged the meal, especially with someone like Neil who could drink a lot. It felt like a few
hours wouldn't be enough.
"Rowena, if you're tired, you should go rest. | need to keep Officer Neil company for a while," Cormac said,
always looking after Rowena even while drinking.
Seeing it was getting late, he didn't want Rowena to stay at the table.
"Why don't you all stay here tonight? There's plenty of room," Stellan said, then explained to Neil, "Officer Neil,
Rowena is pregnant and can't stay up too late. I'll take her to rest; you all continue drinking."
"Mrs. Nash is pregnant?" Neil quickly congratulated Cormac, "Congratulations!" Cormac said, "Thank you, Officer
Neil."
Alaric then said to Stellan, "Galatea, you should go rest too."
"Alright," Stellan left the table with Rowena, and the four children also went to rest. Stellan quickly had the
servants arrange for everyone to stay the night.

them remained at the table.
Alaric gave Cormac a look, and after Neil had another drink, Cormac said, "Officer Neil, if you hadn't come
tonight, | was planning to visit you at the station tomorrow. | have something to ask you."
Neil was confused. "Looking for me?"
If Alaric had said he needed to see him for something, Neil could have guessed the reason; however, when
Cormac sought him out, Neil was at a loss.
Neil asked, "What does Mr. Nash need from me?"
Cormac explained, "It's like this; | have a sister named Orion who died in a car accident. The case was closed
long ago, but there are hidden truths behind it. It was indeed a premeditated murder rather than an accident.
I've always heard from Alaric that Officer Neil, you are very upright, so | thought you were the best person to
approach."
After Cormac finished, he nervously watched Neil. Neil frowned and said, "What's going on in Arizona lately? Why
are there so many hastily closed cases? This shouldn't be happening!"
"If | tell you who was behind the car accident, you'll understand why," Alaric said to Neil.
Neil asked, "Who was behind it?"
"It was Ambrose!" Cormac said confidently, "He's the one who killed Orion!"
"Ambrose again?" Neil could hardly believe it, "How many crimes has he committed?"
"As far as | know, he's responsible for at least three deaths: Todd, Orion, and a worker who died in an accident at
a Nexus Innovations jewelry company construction site. He's connected to all of them," Alaric said.
Hearing this, Neil angrily slammed his glass on the table. "Ambrose isabsolutely
lawless. It's a wonder he's been allowed to live this long!"
Seeing Neil so angry, Cormac knew there was a chance.

Neil claimed, "It looks like | need to change my mind. Letting someone like him live another day is a mockery of
the law!"
Initially, Neil considered keeping him around for a while to uncover the masterminds behind him, but upon
realizing the extent of his malevolence, he couldn't tolerate it anymore.
"So, Officer Neil, are you going to arrest him?" Alaric asked.
Neil said, "I don't have evidence for the other cases, but the murder of Todd is solid. We can arrest him for that

point in hiding their other crimes." Ambrose wasn't an ordinary person; he had a strong mental fortitude and was
good at lying.
As for Todd's death, if they only had Bill's testimony, Ambrose could firmly deny it, which was a concern.
"By the way, Neil, what about Denny?" Alaric asked, "Didn't you already have him under control?"
Neil said, feeling a headache coming on, "Don't mention it. When | approached him before, | tried all sorts of
persuasion, reminding him of his family and that, for their sake, he shouldn't keep aiding in criminal activities. |
told him that as long as he cclean, considering he wasn't the ringleader, we could show him sleniency."
At first, he seemed convinced. He said he wanted to see his family, and we agreed. But once he went back, he
didn't return, saying his elderly family members were unwell and he needed to stay with them. Our people kept
an eye on him, and he behaved. He stayed hand didn't contact Ambrose, but he wouldn't say anything
about Ambrose's activities. He just claimed to be Ambrose's assistant and didn't know much. Later, when Bill
confessed, we went to Denny's hometown to arrest, but he had fled. | guess he cto Arizona."
Cormac said, "Denny is quite loyal to Ambrose."
Niel said, "Yeah, Denny is incredibly stubborn. We gave him a chance, but he wouldn't confess. We'll issue a
warrant, and he'll be found in no time."
"I have another idea," Alaric said.
"What idea?" Neil asked.
