Chapter 465 So, am | cured?
In the following days, Stellan was busy with work, while Alaric found the best contractors to build a hospital for
Stellan.
After finding a designer and getting the blueprints, construction started immediately, and it was expected to be
completed in no more than three months.
By then, Alaric would have already returned to Nexus Innovations, and Stellan could go back to being a doctor. It
would be perfect.
Alaric asked, "Galatea, do you have any suggestions for the hospital plans? We've just started construction, so if
there's anything you're not satisfied with, we can still make changes." Alaric handed Stellan the detailed hospital
plans and the construction schedule.
Stellan hadn't expected Alaric to be so thoughtful, and she was quite touched.
"This is far better than | had imagined," Stellan remarked with great satisfaction upon seeing the plan. "There is
nothing that needs to be altered; it's perfect."
"Alright then," Alaric said, setting the plans aside. "Galatea, | feel like | don't have any adverse reactions to the
treatment injections anymore. My body should be almost fully recovered."
Stellan had also noticed that his condition was improving day by day, and he no longer had negative reactions to
the treatment injections.
"I can see that," Stellan said, "Tomorrow is the weekend. I'll go with you to the hospital for a full check-up. If all
the indicators are normal, you should be fully recovered."
Alaric nodded. "Okay."
Alaric felt like he had been resurrected; it was truly incredible.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"After so many years of aftereffects, | never dared to hope that | would one day be cured," Alaric said excitedly,
hugging Stellan. "If it weren't for you, | might have died during one of those episodes." Stellan couldn't help but
feel excited too. "This is what they call divine intervention. Someone as kind as you won't die before 120."
Alaric laughed and nodded. "You're right. You've also survived twice, so we both can live to 120."
"By then, we'll be an old man and an old lady," Stellan said. "Let's get ssleep. We have to go to the hospital
tomorrow, and we can visit Rowena too."
Alaric nodded. "Alright."
Now that Caspian, Harry, and Elisa were required to stay at school, it was just the two of them.
Alaric and Stellan slept in each other's arms for the night. The next morning, they got up, washed up, and
headed to the hospital.
For over a month, Cormac had been staying with Rowena in the hospital. Stellan first accompanied Alaric for his
check-up, and after it was done, they went to Rowena's room together. "What brings you two here?" Cormac
asked as he stood up, seeing Alaric and Stellan enter.
Stellan replied, "We cfor Alaric's check-up."
"Alaric is having a check-up?" Cormac asked hurriedly. "What's wrong? Is there sproblem with his health
again?"
"Cormac, can you wishwell for once?" Alaric said, "On the contrary, I'm feeling much better, so | cfor a
check-up. My wife said if the results are normal, | might be cured."
"Really?" Cormac was so happy he almost jumped. "That's fantastic! The aftereffects that have tormented you
for so many years are finally gone. That's wonderful."
Cormac was sincerely pleased for Alaric. After that injury, Alaric had been in a coma for three years. Upon
awakening, he endured years of suffering from the aftereffects, always facing the danger of losing his life. Now
that he was cured, it was truly wonderful!
"If you're really cured, we should celebrate," Cormac said.
"Sure," Alaric said with a smile. "Rowena, you've practically been living in the hospital. Didn't they say you'd be
discharged after a month of treatment?"
"The doctor did say | could be discharged," Rowena interjected, "But because the doctor also mentioned I should
stay in bed as much as possible after discharge, Comac changed his mind.
He insisted that | stay in the hospital for three months until the fetal heartbeat was completely stable before
lettinggo home."
"Cormac is a first-tdad, so he's extra cautious," Stellan said, "Just stay in the hospital for three months."
Rowena said, "I'm just lying here enjoying myself. It's Cormac who's here 24/7, not sleeping well at night."
Rowena's eyes were full of concern for Cormac, which made Alaric and Stellan a bit envious.
"He's a robust man; a bit of exertion won't harm him. You're the one who's pregnant, so don't worry about him,"
Alaric said.
"Exactly," Cormac added. "You're the one going through the hard part. I'm not tired at all."
After talking to Rowena, Cormac turned to Alaric and said, "I plan to have Rowena stay in the hospital for three
months. | was thinking about how to ask Mr. Knight for leave, but now that you're cured, you'll be back at Nexus
Innovations soon, so you won't needanymore. Once Rowena is discharged, I'll resign."
"Resign?" Stellan was surprised. "Cormac, you are about to leave Nexus Innovations?"
"I was only helping Alaric temporarily. Now that he's better, he doesn't needanymore. I'll stay hto take
care of my pregnant wife and then start a business with her." He looked so happy as he said.
"Alright, if you're determined to go hand take care of Rowena, | won't try to keep you," Alaric said, "If you
need any help with your business, just letknow."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmCormac said, "Don't worry, I'll definitely take advantage of having a wealthy friend."
Then Everyone laughed.
"Alright, Rowena, you should rest. We won't disturb you," Stellan said, "We should check Alaric's results."
Cormac said, "Okay, letknow the results."
"Alright." Stellan nodded.
The most nerve-wracking moment was checking the results. Stellan was tense as she reviewed them, but her
expression relaxed completely afterward.
Stellan stated, "The results are all good."
"Does that mean I'm cured?" Alaric asked eagerly.
Stella analysed calmly, "You could say that, but since your treatment isn't over yet, | can't make a definitive
conclusion.”
Since it concerned Alaric, Stellan had to be extra cautious. "I'll send the results to Josep and ask him. If he also
says you're cured, then you probably won't need further treatment."
Mentioning Josep made Alaric a bit apprehensive, so he asked, "Have you been in touch with Josep lately?"
"No, it's been a while," Stellan said. "Last time, he asked about your condition. It's been so long; I'm sure Josep
has calmed down. I'll call him."
With that, Stellan took out her phone and called Josep.
