The look on her face was unwelcoming as she glared atdispleasingly.

"Daddy, why is she here?" She looked up at Xander inquisitively while holding on tightly to the teddy bear in her hand. She was wearing a pinklong gown, and her hair was packed in two tight ponytails.

"You are here?" Xander looked atwith a smile on his face as he left her hand and cto stand in front of me.

"How're re you? You don't look fine. Is everything alright?" He looked atobservantly, but I quickly shook my head and smiled at him.

"But she slapped you," She pouted her lips as she reminded him of that day, and I scoffed.

"Con, you should say hi to her," He stood up then held her hand and turned to face me.

"Say hi to her," He urged her, and she hesitated before she muttered a 'hi' accompanied with an eye roll. Too much attitude for her age.

"Why is she here though?" She looked up at him and asked the squestion once again, determined to know what was happening.

"Summer..." Instead, he looked atwith a smile on his face as he called my name. "Ella's nanny went on a long break, and since Lisa is not always in the house, I had to bring her over here to stay with us for a while. I'm sorry for not telling you about it earlier, it was kind of urgent," He apologised tothough he had no reason to. I mean, it's his house, and it's up to him what he wants to do with it, yeah? "Us? Are you living together now?" She looked traumatised like she just heard something she never should have, and her reaction madechuckle briefly and silently.

"It's nice to meet you again, Ella," I finally walked over to her and crouched down to her size.

"I don't like you," She toldhonestly, her eyes didn't fail to add to the sincerity.

"I know. For sreason, I don't seem to like you either..." I paused and ruffled her hair briefly as I gave her a warm smile.

"Don't touch my hair," She frowned her face, "But I think you'll becmy favourite soon, I hope we get along pretty well, and not just withalone though..." I paused, and just then, I heard footsteps hopping down the staircase as my kids's laughter filled the air.

Jack smiled as he went to stand in front of her, but she scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Daddy! Why are they here?" She looked at Xander angrily while demanding an answer to her question. "First, it was this woman, and now the kids?" She huffed.

"Will you do that, hmm? You can cdownstairs for dinner in an hour," "Alright, uncle. I will do that," Ella hesitantly followed them to the stairs, and just before she took the staircase, she paused.

"What about my luggage?" "Don't worry and go ahead. I will bring it to the room later," She finally left after he replied to her, and I breathed out.

"Sorry about that. Ella can be- "It's fine. She's not so bad. That's how kids are," I dismissed it with a smile, and he nodded.

"Why don't you get srest, hmm? I will go make dinner for us. You can go to your room. I will call you once it's ready," "I will make dinner. You should go shower and change," I walked past him and headed toward the kitchen. Chapter 93.

"Thank you," "Why don't you go show Ella around, kids? Don't go near the swimming pool. It's dangerous," Xander suggested but didn't fail to remind them about the pool.

"Alright, uncle," The kids left along with Ella, leaving us alone.

"You should get srest. I will clear the table," He offered as he stood up and took one of the plates we used to eat.

He had turned to go inside the kitchen to dump the plates he packed up, when something, crossed my mind and I called his attention.

"Uhm... Can I ask of a favor from you, please?" I was nervous as I spoke up. As much as I know this didn't make any sense, a part ofstill wantedto give it a try.
