The second he saw Allison, all the coldness in his eyes vanished. His whole face softened, like winter melting into spring. "Allie." He crossed over to her in a few easy strides.
Allison's expression stayed calm and even. "What are you doing here?" "Work's slow lately, so I figured I'd cSee you," Joshua said, his voice suddenly gentle-so diff from how he'd sounded moment ago.
"I actually went by your office yesterday afternoon," he went on, smoothly taking the stack of case files from her arms like it was second nature, "and found out were here on a business tri place is famous for its scenery-July's the best tto visit. Allison nodded. There was only one decent hotel in town anyway she'd kind of figured he'd be there too.
