Just half an hour after sealing the deal, a hefty amount landed in the law firm's account out of nowhere.
Liu, the firm's accountant, was so taken aback he practically sprinted into Allison's office.
"Allison, we've just received an eight million dollar transfer!" Liu blurted out, eyes wide like saucers. "What's
happening?"
"We just finalized a major deal with Fisher Corporation. That's the attorney fee. There's more coming once the
case wraps up," Allison explained, cool as a cucumber.
"What? You mean there's more than this? A balance payment?" Liu was floored. "Yep," Allison replied with a
bright smile. "I'll treat everyone to dinner on Friday." "Awesome!" Liu beamed, his excitement contagious.
Not long after Liu left, Watson walked in.
"I heard we've snagged another big case? With Fisher Corporation, no less?"
"Yep, I'll be handing a few cases over to your team soon."
Watson looked a bit on edge. "Mr. Fisher really doesn't hold back, does he? Eight million just like that. So, what's
the total?"
"This much," Allison said, flashing a peace sign with two fingers.
Two hundred million.
Watson let out a whistle, joking, "After this, can we all just kick back and relax?"
"Where's your drive, Watson?" Allison teased. "lI want Owens Legal Services to be the top firm in Oak Lake."
"Even Summit & Vale Solicitors don't pull in two hundred million a year," Watson laughed. "In revenue, we're
ahead, but we still have room to grow in size and reputation."
"Don't worry, once we wrap up these major Fisher cases, our reputation will skyrocket. Keep pushing!" Allison
encouraged, giving Watson a reassuring pat. "I believe in you."

"We'll need to expand the firm," Watson noted.
"Absolutely," Allison agreed. "HR needs to ramp up hiring more lawyers and assistants, and we should fine-tune
our policies."
Allison distributed the new Fisher Corporation cases among the legal teams and dropped a message in the group
chat. She announced she'd be treating the entire firm to dinner after work on Friday and promised bonuses once
the Fisher cases were closed and the rest of the payments cin.
Everyone was thrilled, and the firm buzzed with renewed energy.
A little past four in the afternoon, delivery drivers started filing in, arms loaded with goodies.
Milkshakes, cupcakes, fruit, and heaps of KFC and McDonald's chicken and fries. The receptionist was stunned.
She headed to Allison's office, full questions. "Allison, are we having afternoon tea today? Didn't
have it last Tuesday?" Cont just

Allison looked up, puzzled. "Afternoon tea? | have no clue."
"Huh? You don't know either? That's odd."
Allison followed her out, only to find the lobby tables stacked with food, looking utterly confused.
"Could it be Brody or one of the other lawyers?" the receptionist wondered aloud.
Brody, whose real nwas Dominic, was another partner at the firm.

As Allison pondered, a familiar face popped into her mind.

Just as she was mulling it over, her phone rang.
