Kya had no idea what was happening, all she did was chattering about everything she saw along the way, like a
woman walking a pretty dog, or how cute the dog’s outfit was, or the strange hat an old lady was wearing.
Estelle spoke to her in a hushed voice, her expression relaxed, her steps light. Soon they entered the market.
The men who had been trailing Estelle exchanged glances, gathering around the store, waiting for the right chance.
Suddenly they all heard the same sentence in their earpieces, “Proceed two hundred yards down the eastward
road.”
The men looked surprised. They had already locked onto their target, why were they to leave now?
But they didn’t dare disobey orders, and, as if by agreement, they headed down the eastward road.
After walking more than two hundred yards, another command came through, directing them to turn left.

Millard stepped on one man’s arm, and with a “crack,” the bone broke. The man on the ground screamed in agony.
“Tell Cliff Crawley to stop messing with Estelle. If Estelle loses even a single hair, his daughter will lose a finger. Once
the fingers are gone, we’ll move to hands and feet!” Millard’s voice was fiercely cold, “Since he’s already in J City,
so let’s get this over with. It’s better not use dirty pool. Remember, this is J City!”
The man was sweating profusely, nodding in fear, “I’ll deliver the message!”
Millard took a few steps back and ordered his men, “Let them go!”
The five men staggered to their feet, looking warily at Millard and his group. After a few steps back, they turned
and ran.
Millard said coolly, “Keep an eye on them.”
“Yes!”
Estelle bought a toy set in the toy section and let a store clerk play with Kya for a while. She stepped out of the
store for the market.
Yet, after checking the market, she couldn’t find those suspicious men.
She was a bit puzzled. Had she been mistaken?
Not wanting to waste any more time, Estelle returned to the store, picked up Kya and headed home.
She remained vigilant all the way to her apartment building, but nothing seemed amiss.
Estelle furrowed her brows slightly and took Kya home.

and told him she couldn’t meet him as she had to take care of Kya.
Jonathan didn’t say much, just chuckled warmly. “Then you stay home with Kya. I’ll have someone deliver lunch to
you.”

Estelle hung up the phone and continued playing with Kya.
Magdalen had given Antonia a pretty thorough beating the day before and knew there would be repercussions. She
had been expecting the Crawley family to come after her.
Antonia was the Crawley family’s only daughter and they did as they wanted in B City. With their beloved daughter
so humiliated by someone, they were sure to retaliate
She had considered the consequences before beating Antonia and was not the least bit afraid!
However, it was almost noon and there had been no movement from the Crawley family, and her parents hadn’t
called either. This was weird!
The flight from B City to J City was only about two hours. If they were coming, they should have arrived by now!
