Chapter 1676

Jonathan looked up and took the smartphone handed to him. After he scanned the screen for a couple of seconds,

his face turned stone cold.

After reading the entire thread and some comments, anyone would think he was about to commit a murder based

on the frosty look on his face.

“I understand,” Jonathan said gruffly. “Leave now, and inform me immediately if you find any more news online.”

“Sure, I believe Estelle isn’t the person they’re making her out to be. I’ll help defend her online,” Kally sincerely said

before turning to leave.

As she stepped out of the office, Sabina was approaching. It seemed she had also seen the negative news about

Estelle online and sneered, “Finally seeing the true colors of the woman you’ve been brown-nosing, huh? Now do

you understand why I can’t stand her?”

Kally looked stern. “Estelle is definitely not like what they’re saying in those posts! If you despise Estelle so much

and can’t see her succeed, why don’t you tell Mr. Lamont? Don’t you dare?”

Sabina squinted slightly. “What benefits did Estelle give you? You’re even daring to confront me for her!”

“Estelle didn’t give me anything. I have my own eyes and ears, and a sense of right and wrong!” Kally replied, her

lips pursed tightly. She then walked briskly towards her desk.

Sabina gave a dismissive, cold laugh, and left with a shrug.

Inside the office, Jonathan made a call to Bennett after some thought.

Upon answering, Bennett’s voice sounded genuinely frightened. “Mr. Lamont, why the sudden call? Is there

something you need from me?”

“Have you seen the expose about Estelle online?” Jonathan asked in a low, cold voice.

Bennett paused for a moment before replying, “No, I’ve been in meetings all day and haven’t had time to check my

phone. What happened? Is there a problem with Estelle?”

“Some people are saying that you guys are Estelle’s godparents and that she’s been ungrateful after you supported

her. It’s all nonsense. You need to publicly clarify and tell everyone the truth,” Jonathan ordered in an icy tone.

“I see,” Bennett seemed to hesitate. “Estelle likes to keep a low profile. And after her identity. as KING was exposed,

we were even more cautious about revealing our relationship with her. If I suddenly make it public now, I’m afraid

Estelle won’t appreciate it.”

Jonathan’s cold eyes narrowed. “Bennett, I haven’t yet held you accountable for the harm you and Simone have

caused Estelle. This is your chance to make it right. Don’t make me intervene.”

Bennett quickly replied, “Mr. Lamont, please don’t be angry. You may not understand Estelle’s stubborn nature. I’m

afraid she won’t be willing, and if she was, I would have revealed her

identity long ago.”

He said vaguely, “Mr. Lamont, maybe I shouldn’t have said something, but I really did it for your sake. Estelle and

you are not suitable together, so three years ago, you said that the marriage was dissolved, and I didn’t have any

objections.”

“What do you mean?” Jonathan asked in a deep voice.

“I mean, Estelle’s personality is too cold and hard. Maybe it’s because she has suffered too much from growing up,

so she is narrow-minded and indifferent. She is full of hostility to everyone. She is not suitable for you at all. You

don’t have to pay attention to her affairs, but no matter what, she is my daughter. Her mother and I will protect

her.”

Jonathan’s voice was icy. “So is this how you understand Estelle?”

“Yes, I know her too well!” Bennett replied.

Jonathan’s anger surged uncontrollably. “Bennett, you’re a disgrace as a father. If you understood Estelle even a

little, you wouldn’t say such things!”

He managed to hold back his anger, refraining from cursing at Estelle’s biological father. He instead coldly ordered,

“Immediately release a statement clarifying the slanderous claims about Estelle in those posts. If not, don’t blame

me for being ruthless. I’ve given you enough respect as Estelle’s father!”

Bennett jumped in fright. Seeing Jonathan so concerned about Estelle and even losing his temper, he dared not say

anything else. “I’ll call Estelle. If she agrees, I’ll publicly reveal her identity.”

“Do it now. I’m waiting for your results,” Jonathan said before abruptly hanging up the call, his patience wearing

thin.
