Chapter 1157 After calling Caleb, Nash quickly explained the situation and then instructed the driver to speed up.
The whole ride, Joe remained tense. He was glancing at Nina several times, as if considering pushing her away to better protect Yvonne himself. But in the end, he did not. Instead, he fixed his gaze on her with an unreadable expression. Nash noticed but did not ask questions. He was not sure what had happened, and with Joe staying silent, prying would have been pointless. Besides, anything Joe said at this point might not even be the truth. When they arrived at the hospital, Caleb was already there. Before Nash could speak, Nina rushed to Caleb, grabbing his hands, "Caleb, no matter what it takes, you have to save my friend. Please, you must save her." Nash gently pulled her aside, speaking softly to calm her, "I've already told him. The person inside is important. He'll do whatever it takes." "Yes, whatever it takes," Nina said through tears. "I can't lose Yvonne." Nash held her close and nodded at Caleb.
As Caleb headed toward the emergency room, Joe grabbed his arm, causing him to stop and look at him. "You have something to say?" "No matter the cost, she has to survive. Money is not an issue. Please, just..." "Oh?" Caleb raised an eyebrow, giving Joe a brief glance before walking into the operating room without saying a word.
The red light above the door flicked on, and everyone tensed. Nina looked down at her hands, stained with Yvonne's blood, her eyes filling with tears once more. She lifted her head abruptly and glared at Joe. "Why did this happen to her?" Joe remained silent.

She stormed up to Joe, standing directly in front of him. "Why did this happen to her?" she demanded again. Joe briefly glanced at Nash but said nothing and lowered his head.
His silence was an admission of guilt, confirming that he had hurt Yvonne.
Nina let out a furious scream and lunged at Joe. But Nash quickly grabbed her, pulling her back before she could reach him.
"It was him! He hurt her! I'll make him pay for what he did to Yvonne," Nina cried, her emotions spiraling out of control.
Seeing her in such distress, Nash knew this could be dangerous for both her and the baby. He had no choice but to pick her up and carry her into the elevator. Only when the doors closed and they were alone did the gently set her down.
The silence between them was heavy. Nash wiped her tears, his heart aching for her.
"It's my fault. I should have csooner. If I had been here, none of this would have happened. It wouldn't have," Nina said, her voice trembling with guilt.
She couldn't shake the thought of how hopeless Yvonne must have felt. The pain gripped Nina's heart, and she blamed herself for not acting sooner. She knew something was wrong when Yvonne suddenly asked for money, but she hadn't done enough.

She could have sent someone to check the hotel, could have found out more before it was too late. The more she thought about it, the more the guilt consumed her, and tears streamed down her face. Nash saw her despair but didn't know how to comfort her. The only thing that could truly ease her pain was Yvonne waking up.
Suddenly, Nina frowned slightly, and Nash immediately noticed. Concerned, he asked, "What's wrong?" Nina shook her head, but her hand instinctively moved to her belly.
Nash didn't miss the subtle gesture. Without hesitation, he decided ton take her fora checkup. Nothing could happen to the baby, or to Nina. The doctor wrote up an order, and Nash led her to the prenatal clinic to wait in line while he went downstairs to pay the fees.
Nina sat there, her emotions low, her mind filled with images of Yvonne unconscious. The weight of it all pressed down on her. "Nina, it's your turn."
