A paper with instructions was suddenly thrust in front of Nina, almost hitting her in the face. Annoyed, she snapped, "If you've got something to say, just say it." Madison chuckled softly. "I'm showing you the instructions. On the back, you'll find the dish you need to prepare for lunch today. Remember, it absolutely must suit everyone's taste. If no one eats your dish, Orion's performance in the field day will be nullified." "What does my cooking have to do with Orion's performance? If you want to punish someone, punish me. Why drag the children into it?" Nina didn't want to participate in the field day, but that didn't mean Orion didn't. If no one ate the dish she prepared, wouldn't that unfairly impact Orion? She frowned. The school wouldn't make such a decision. It had to be Madison overstepping her authority as PTA president.
"Fine," Nina thought. "They only askedto prepare the dish. They didn't say I have to cook it herself." If it was something she couldn't manage, she could always order from a restaurant.
Nina calmly took the paper and immediately flipped it over to see what was required.

"What's the matter? Don't tellyou can't do it," Madison said, eyeing her up and down. "But, well, for a nanny like you, it shouldn't be a problem. I couldn't manage it myself. I never cook, and I'm sure the other moms don't either. So, lunch is in your hands." Nina smiled politely. "Don't worry about it. Solving problems is my specialty. You can count on me." "Hmph, you're just trying to be clever. Fine, I'll let you have your fun," Madison huffed as she walked away, not bothering Nina again.
The field day was about to begin, and students from each class gathered on the field to go through the opening procedures. Once completed, the principal gave the order, and the event officially started.
Nash still hadn't returned from parking, and Nina anxiously glanced toward the entrance several times. If he didn't show up soon, she was seriously considering backing out. "Field day? Who cares?" she thought.
Orion noticed what Nina was thinking and secretly made a funny face at her careful not to let the teacher catch him and call him out. Even if he did get noticed, Orion didn't mind and kept smilingo cheerfully at Nina.
After the teacher handed out the event schedule, the students were allowed to return to their parents. Those who were participating in events needed to check in with their teachers beforehand.
Even though Nina hadn't signed Orion up for any events, somehow, he was listed for the most events in his class. It didn't take much guessing to figure out whose handiwork that was. It was definitely Madison. Nina shot a glare in Madison's direction, and when their eyes met, Nina squinted menacingly.
"And now for the boys' 50-meter race. Students whose names are called, please report to your teachers and get ready," the loudspeaker blared.

Orion nodded, then asked in a whisper, "Mom, were you thinking that if I lose the race, we can go hearly?" "Of course not. I'm just worried you'll feel too much pressure," Nina replied, a little defensively.
But in truth, she was secretly hoping the school had such a rule. That way, menule she could head hearly, relax in could b the air conditioning, and avoid getting sunburned. Orion smiled. "Don't worry, Mom. I'm going to win."
Nina couldn't tell if he was being sweet or teasing her, but she couldn't help but laugh. As the students checked in with ents
their teachers, they began making their way to the starting line on the on the track. Orton's spot was at the very back, and Nina noticed something seemed off with the startingo equipment. She wanted to warn him, but just as she stood up, the gun went off, and the race began.
