He couldn't make a sound. He just unconsciously held her even tighter.
The smell of alcohol couldn't mask the smell of cologne on his body. When she saw that his necktie was nowhere in sight and that his collar was wide open, Victoria's gaze was full of disgust. She pushed his hand away aggressively/ "Disgusting!" She spat.
Victoria turned on her heel after saying that.
Trevor stepped forward and stopped her by grabbing her waist. "I didn't cheat on you!" Trevor yelled.
He was simply upset with her and was in a bad mood. That was the only reason why he was out to have a drink.
He didn't want to argue with her anymore. Trevor's voice softened as he said, "It's my fault! I shouldn't have been like this. We..." Let's stop quarreling, okay? It was rare for Trevor to be so humble. It seemed he had really regretted his behavior. At first, he had just been ashamed, but he started to feel as if things between them were deteriorating at a fast pace. "Master Trevor!" A voice suddenly sounded.
Right before he could finish his words, a woman's soft voice was heard. In the next second, a white figure squeezed into his arms.
"Master Trevor, please save me! I've told him that you've bookedfor the entire night but he's still pestering me. He's coming! Master Trevor, why don't we get out of here?" The woman said suggestively.
The woman's words were like a knife wedged between the both of them. Victoria's expression changed immediately while Trevor's face turned green with anger.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWhat did she mean by 'booked her for the entire night'? He only asked her to drink with him! Victoria glanced at the young and beautiful body of the woman out of the corner of her eyes. With a cold snort, she turned around and went downstairs.
"Vicky..." Trevor called out to her.
"Master Trevor?" The woman cooed.
How unbelievable it was that this woman was still pestering him. Trevor instantly shoved her to the ground and said angrily, "Is this your first day at work? If you don't know the rules at East Bannpool, go back and learn them!" Trevor swung his hands away from her and ran after Victoria.
However, he lost sight of her after arriving at the main entrance.
Trevor gritted his teeth in annoyance. For the first tin his life, he regretted his behavior so much.
If he could no longer see her, he would be reduced to nothing but a walking vessel, empty and soulless. With just a glance, his world had been shaken up once more.
Trevor lit a cigarette as he stood outside the door. He took out his phone and dialed for her.
"Sorry, the number you dialed is currently unavailable. Please try again later..." The phone sounded.
After the incident at the hospital, Victoria had already taken her number out from the system, so it was no longer in use.
Trevor's heart felt as if it had been emptied out again as he grazed his fingers against the wallpaper on his phone. Was she angry with him or did she really... change? His mind sent him back to the days when things were good between them. When he was sick, she would be sure to keep him company. When he was engaged in social engagements at night, she would prepare a cup of milk for him when he got home. All these sweet, lovely memories filled his mind. Trevor couldn't understand why they were drifting apart even though he had also worked hard to be happy! Was it just because he insisted on going to Korea this time? This was nothing but a very ordinary matter from Trevor's point of view. He didn't expect that she would take it so seriously! Trevor sorrowfully tapped on his forehead. Why were women's hearts so different from men's? "She's so stubborn!" He cried out loud.
What should he do? Why couldn't she be as soft as other women? This was so frustrating! He disliked rebellious women. He would get rid of women who bothered him without a second thought in the past. However, he was in love with her! He was reluctant to let her go. He didn't want to replace her! After crushing the cigarette butt, Trevor couldn't help but think of how exasperating his life was. Of all women, why did he have to choose such a fierce, unrelenting one? He almost puked blood from everything that happened.
As he fiddled with his mobile phone, his fingertips unconsciously fell on the positioning icon. Something flashed across his mind and he immediately clicked on it. "That's right! I got dumber as soon as I met her!" He thought to himself.
He couldn't care about his dignity anymore. If he delayed it any longer, he would really lose his wife! After a quick setup and search, Trevor stood there stunned for a few seconds. Norwich City Hotel? Trevor refreshed it three times in a row. He couldn't believe his eyes. Was she really at Norwich City Hotel? What was she doing there? A sudden feeling of uneasiness welled up in his heart. He hurriedly ran to the back of East Bannpool. Although Norwich City Hotel couldn't be regarded as a large, fancy private luxury hotel, it was still a rather lavish place, with service standards no lower than that of a five star hotel. Due to East Bannpool, its prices rose exorbitantly and their boarding services are calculated by the hour.
As he followed the phone to the main entrance, Trevor sped up his pace upon confirming that the signal was getting closer. When he was about to enter the hotel, he heard a loud bang. He heard a scream coming from the side the next second. "Ah!" Someone had screamed.
"Help! Someone jumped off the building!" Another person yelled.
"Aaaaaaaah!" A third let out a shrill scream.
The rustling footsteps were accompanied by the scream of a woman. He subconsciously took a step forward and saw familiar pieces of clothing. He pushed the crowd aside and rushed in.
At the side of the lawn, an enchanting woman was lying on it.
Her clothes were torn, and bloodstains were everywhere. A pair of slender legs were bent while its

However, this familian beautiful dress, and that familiar body struck him like a thunderbolt. Trevor couldn't move for a long time. His lips shook as he took in the scene before him. "No!" He cried.
With a sudden stagger, he almost fell to the ground. "Vicky, no, Vicky..." Trevor lifted the woman on the ground and brushed her hair away. His hands were trembling as if earthquakes were rippling within et him. "No! Victoria, what's going on? Please call an ambulance, please cattan ambulance..." He cried on, Voice breaking.
He held her in his arms and tried to feel for her breathing. Trevor pinched hard into her philtrum.
"Please stay alive! Please stay alive! Vicky, you can't die! Don't leave me, I can't live without ut you! won't make you angry anymore, I was wrong, I was wrong! I shouldn't be mad at you!" He whimpered as tears streamed down the side of his face.
"As long as you wake up, I'll promise you to give you everything you want! Even if you want to go, I'll let you go!" Trevor yelled at her limp, motionless body.
"Don't die, Vicky. Breathe, don't die! You can hit me, you can scold me!" He continued.
In his panic, Trevor kept giving her rescue breaths.
Soon, the ambulance arrived. Trevor couldn't even remember how he got to the hospital. He found himself staring up at the red light of the emergency room, his brain a complete blank. When Holger and Carson arrived after receiving the news, they saw him sitting on the hospital floor. His gaze was cold and empty; he looked lifeless.
"Keep an eye on him. I'll go in and take a look!" Carson said.
Carson quickly changed into his scrubs and went into the operating room.
Holger saw the stains of dirt and blood on Trevor's body as he lifted him up. His lips were quivering but he didn't say anything. What had happened? X
