His attack was merciless! If he hadn't quickly avoided it, his ribs would've been broken! Victoria instantly turned back. "Kid, what do you think you're doing? Hurry up and go back in. Do you really want to be handicapped?" He already wanted to break up with her! Why should she still run after him? Who was she in his heart? Since she was nothing, why should she so shamelessly pester him? She wasn't beautiful or obedient, and he did say he couldn't be bothered with her! After pushing Alaric away, Victoria returned to the ward. As she did, she looked to be shrouded in a haze, her face dark and grim.
Trevor slowly made his way out of the hospital. He kicked his car a few times in a fit of anger. In his rage, he smoked a few cigarettes consecutively before finally leaving in annoyance.
Victoria still didn't go hin the next few days. Neither did Trevor call her or send her any more messages. Her mobile phone had gotten dead silent, but Victoria wasn't happy at all. In the office, she often stared blankly into space for a long twith a pencil in hand. When she cback to her senses, the paper in front of her would be full of mindless doodles.
Similarly, Trevor was angry every day. Whenever he was free, he would go through everyon his phone. He would also spend a long tlooking at her profile and his album.
Ever since she had a big fight with him because of the album on his phone, the two photos on his phone had bechers. Even the password had becrelated to her.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAfter he returned from inspecting the departments, Trevor subconsciously took out his cell phone once again. He habitually looked through her profile again and eventually stopped at a picture where she was holding the rabbit ears and giggling. His hands reached out to touch her beautiful face.
It was unknown how much thad passed. When he gained his composure, he retracted his hand, feeling angry once again. With a bang, he threw his phone aside. He took a document, signed it, and had even poked two holes on the paper in his anger.
She was so heartless! Not chasing after him was fine, but why didn't she return home? She didn't call him nor send him a message either! As he signed the document, Trevor's temple twitched even more. Was the neighbor's younger brother more important than he was? That rotten boy? He felt incredibly wronged. Trevor's mind was filled with images of her. No matter how busy he was, Victoria was always just a thought away.
Victoria had been having a pretty bad few days as well. All she could think of were the two words -"break up"! He didn't want her anymore! She should be happy with this revelation, if only her heart didn't ache like this.
She also had gotten into the habit of checking through her phone while she was at the office. But every tshe did, there were still no texts or calls from him. He wasn't looking for her anymore! "Have I gone too far?" Victoria thought to herself.
She felt her eyes sting.
In the past, she would be very happy when she went traveling. But she had actually felt lonely this tround, especially when she was somewhere crowded with people. She would feel a pang of something negative in her chest whenever she saw others with their family, or worse couples! She had even helplessly wandered around in an unfamiliar city when she couldn't make a reservation at the hotel that she liked. She missed the feeling of having someone to rely on when she met with trouble and was scared. Even if all she had was a phone call, it would've still been a good encouragement to her and would've made her feel much better.
She was a traditional woman. After getting married, all she wanted was to live a quiet, peaceful life. Even if they started on the wrong foot, she still tried to turn the unfortunate beginning into a happy ending! She wanted to make her miserable life a little more perfect. That way, she could at least stop herself from appearing so pitiful! However, everything seemed to go against her will! She let out a big, heavy sigh.
She got up and looked out of the window at the sunshine. She had a nervous tick - she couldn't stop anxiously scratching at her scalp.
Before Victoria met Trevor, her life was like the scene outside the window. It was filled with sunshine and her relationship life was sweet. She never once felt like crying! Was God jealous of her being too happy? Victoria becsilent as she squinted her eyes. Even if they didn't break up, and even if they managed to get back together, nothing would change between them. They would still five like this. Was this truly what she wanted? As she gritted her teeth, Victoria tapped her fingers against her forehead and mumbled to herself.
"He doesn't want you anymore! Why are you still sad about this? It is bound to hurt eventually. Why don't you take this step earlier while you're still young?" Victoria said to herself.
"Victoria Atlas, I'll look down on you if you ever go back to him! What's the use of a man who doesn't love you?" Victoria poked at the image of herself on the window glass as she told herself off. "This will eventually pass!" She comforted herself.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmBreaking up was the best option since he had a cousin whom she could never compete for his love and affection with! They weren't from the sworld anyway.
She wanted to be his only one, but his world was always filled with other women! "I have plenty of beautiful and obedient women!" Trevor's voice constantly surfaced in Victoria's mind. As she let the acid memory attack her again, something in her finally broke. She decided to put a halt to her hesitation.
At that moment, her cell phone rang. She answered, "Hello, Mr. Clark, it's me!"
"I want to choose two male models for my show Right, it's not my own show this time. It's a collaboration with a brand. However, I want the models to have a more masculine body and a slightly colder face... it'll be perfect they could have a nice chest," Victoria said into the phone.
As she needed to emphasize on the wildness in the nobility and the allure of women, the supporting roles m needed to be of a certain standard The men's clothes weren't supposed to be buttoned up either. Victoria tried her best to describe he requirements. She wished to present her designs as perfectly as possible. "Okay, let's talk about this tonight! I'll take a look at the photos first and then we'll discuss further later tonight! East Bannpool? Alright!" Victoria said.
After ending the call, Victoria returned to her computer desk. She checked the email and picked a few favored candidates. She then filtered their heights and noted them down in her notebook.
She eventually felt better after she busied herself with work. As she sat on her desk, a ray of sunshine shone on the bluish-purple bellflowers in front of her. She casually took a photo of it and posted it up. "Sunshine is the prettiest; I'll blossom soon", she wrote. She even added a cheering emoji! As soon as she posted her photo, Victoria made a cup of coffee and went to work on her designs! On the other hand, Trevor couldn't sit still after seeing her post. Blossom? Blossom! What did she mean by that? Why did it feel like she was in a good mood, while he had been having the roughest few days! From Trevor's point of view, women were in full bloom and were the most beautiful when they were in love! As he held onto his phone, he studied her picture and that particular sentence for a very long time. All of a sudden, the reflection of two hearts on the table cinto his sight.
