Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Did she not like the food at the cafeteria? Why did she order so little? Frederick wondered.

Frederick stroked her hair and answered, "Okay!" Then he picked up the handset and made his order. At the stime, he also instructed his assistant to prepare a plate of cut fruits. After taking a glance at Alicia who was sitting on the sofa, Frederick turned around and went to the coffee bar to make coffee.

When he was at it, he asked, "Do you not like the food here?" She seemed excited and wanted to eat anything that was available at the cafeteria the last time. But it seemed that she had lost her appetite nowadays.

Scrolling through her phone, Alicia casually answered, "No, the food here is one of the best I've ever had!" As she was replying to a text message, she couldn't help but pause for a short while. In fact, in Alicia's opinion, the food is great, but she would always end up losing her appetite whenever she went to the cafeteria. When she first joined the company, there would be so many people gathering around her that she couldn't even join the queue. But still, even when she visited the cafeteria, there were always people who would cover to snatch her meals and even take her seat, which annoyed her a lot. So she looked down and continued to reply to her text messages.

Frederick put down his coffee and lowered his head. He saw that one of the text messages that she had sent out wrote, "I'm fine, my boss is busy now, I'm just here waiting for him to givea lecture but I'm really fine. Thanks for asking!" "I'm busy at the moment, so I'm not sure. You guys can go ahead without me! Thanks!" Frederick sat down and immediately pulled her into his arms. He stared at her phone screen and saw that she was texting at least three people at the stime. Not only that, he also realized that Alicia and these people would text each other now and then.

Frederick stretched out his hand and took the phone from her. The screen displayed a text from a person named "Mr. Yves". He scrolled through the messages casually and almost all of them were asking if she was free, whether they could book a seat for her to have lunch at the cafeteria.

Frederick gave her a sidelong glance as his eyes darkened. Alicia didn't try to snatch her phone from him but allowed him to look freely through her phone. Because she knew that if Frederick did pay attention to what she had replied, he would know that she did not have any intention to get closer to those guys.

After looking through all the messages, Frederick returned the phone to Alicia. He was a little agitated as he said inwardly, "This woman is only here for a few days but she already has a group of men coveting her under my nose." Was she doing this to pressure him to announce their relationship to the world? Frederick thought.

He was not opposed to having their relationship publicly known, but it was yet the right timing to do so. Moreover, Frederick wanted her to stand on her own two feet before announcing their relationship because he knew that once everyone knew about their relationship, all her efforts would be washed down the drains. Frederick bent his fingers and caressed her tender face.

He said, "It seems like I should just keep you in my pocket and make sure you're by my side wherever I go. You're just too beautiful that no matter where you go, you just can't help but attract everyone's attention!" He never thought that he would be subdued by a woman, as they were often dispensable to him. Having them in his life or not would matter little to him. But at this moment, looking at the woman in his arms, he could tell that a sense of anxiety and insecurity were slowly overcoming him.

He was afraid of losing her! This feeling was unprecedented! He had never had such a strong desire to possess a woman, a woman who he used to hate so much even! With the phone in her hand, Alicia pursed her lips and looked at Frederick. Her intense gaze began to wander. "Would you care though? People always say that men don't like beautiful wives but one who is virtuous and capable." At that instant, Alicia recalled a piece of news that she had cacross a while ago. It was about a man who married a beautiful woman. The woman followed him faithfully and took care of his family well. But one day, a notorious tyrant had his eye on the woman and defiled her in front of her husband. However, the man did nothing to save his wife because he was afraid that the tyrant would hurt his family. In the end, due to that impactful incident, the woman had a mental breakdown and ended up losing her mind.

When Alicia saw this news, she was infuriated. There were no follow-up reports of the family, so she did not know how things eventually ended for them. However, seeing that such a big family with no financial capabilities, Alicia knew that the rest of the woman's life was doomed. She probably couldn't even afford to pay for her treatments.

"A lowly man like him doesn't deserve to have a wife, nor is it worthwhile for her to give birth to a child for him! It's a pity that such a young and beautiful woman is driven to madness by something like this!" Alicia scolded inwardly.

In the past, when she used to go on blind dates, she had also cacross such men. They never understood her, yet they claimed she was too beautiful for them to take her as their wives. That literally meant that they had assumed that a beautiful girl like her would cheat on them. The moment Alicia heard what they said, she was so angry that she even thought of splashing coffee on their faces.

At that moment, Alicia actually felt a little scared! She was afraid of being left for that excuse! Frederick seemed to have noticed her worry, so he gave her long and deep kiss.

"But I like beautiful women! Those sayings are just nonsense! I don't need a virtuous and capable wife. All I need is you, my Ally! you're the most precious thing I could ever have in my entire life!" Listening to his words, Alicia's smile was as bright as the sun. She gave Frederick two gentle pecks on the corner of his lips and said, "I'll listen to everything you say from now on. I will not approach any guys and I'll never make you angry ever again!" Alicia had decided that she wanted to be a virtuous wife for him! "Meeting you was the best thing that has ever happened in my life!" Although it was an accident, it was really the luckiest accident in her life! At this moment, Alicia was really glad for the mistakes and decisions she made that led her to where she was.

Frederick pinched her pointed nose and thought the stoo. He said, "You're the best and the most beautiful, unexpected encounter in my life! For a lifetime, once like this is enough!" As the tip of their noses touched, both of them broke into blissful smiles.

All of a sudden, a knocking sound sounded at the door.

"I think the food is here. Letgo get the door!" Frederick said as she gently pushed Alidia away and caressing her tiny face before standing up. Then, Alicia found a hidden corner in the office and brought her coffee over with her.

The moment Frederick opened the door and saw that it was Danica Randolph, he instinctively walked out of the room and shut the door behind him.

"How did you get here?" Logically speaking, she would not have access to his office.

Frederick wondered.

"Frederick?" Seeing his demeanor, Danica was shocked and her joyful tone faded as she said, "I met Chet downstairs, so I..."

In fact, she thought that she had to wait for someone to lead her into the office but she didn't dn't expect that she would bump into Chet Reynes and had even a short chat with him. And because of that, the security guard granted her access without any questions asked. "What's the matter? Why didn't you callfirst?" Frederick asked.
