“The target is in sight. Get ready!” Austin was on high alert when he saw the group of

Dragon Guard members. He even withdrew his sword a little from its scabbard.

“Calm down. Give them another minute. We have to wait till they get into the area

surrounded by us.” Dustin reached out and patted Austin’s shoulders lightly.

He had cast two spells a few hundred yards before their hiding spot. As soon as the group

of Dragon Guard members walked into the area, they’d be trapped.

The first spell was the Disorientation Spell, and it covered the widest area. This spell had a

dumbfounding and dizzying effect.

The second spell was the Octennial Array. This spell had two sides to it. The first side could

be used to attack the opponent, whereas the flip side could defend. It could attack and

defend simultaneously, making it a very adaptable spell.

Dustin had chosen to use this spell to attack. He had arranged for eight very skilled

fighters to be situated in every direction of this octagonal formation.

Under this spell, these eight fighters would become infinite illusory images. The shadows

would attack anyone who came into the area of this spell.

If they couldn’t find the source of the spell and break it, they’d be trapped inside it. They’d

be attacked continuously until one of them died.

In addition to these two spells, Dustin had ordered his subordinates to bury a huge

amount of explosives in a nearby area.

Even if the Dragon Guard members could break his spells, they wouldn’t be able to protect

themselves from an explosion. With this setup, the Dragon Guard members would have

suffered a huge loss before fighting them head-on.

“They have already entered the spell area. Activate the spell now!” Dustin quickly gave

out an order when the time was right.

“Activate the spell!” Austin shouted, and the monarchy’s elite fighters started getting into

positions.

When the Disorientation Spell was activated, white fog rapidly rose from the ground. The

white fog had already enveloped a few hundred yards of radial area within minutes, and it

continued to expand rapidly.

“What’s this? Why is it suddenly foggy?

“Fog is a very common phenomenon in the mountainous areas, especially in the morning.

There’s nothing to be scared of.”

“No! This fog is weird. Everyone, stay alert!” The Dragon Guard members suddenly

became very alert when the fog appeared out of nowhere.

All of them withdrew their weapons and looked around warily. They were on guard against

any potential ambush.

However, everything remained still after a while. The only difference was that the fog was

getting thicker by the second.

“Guys, do you feel dizzy and tired?” A man in gray clothes asked suddenly.

“Me too! I don’t feel too well.” Another man in black replied.

“Stop talking! This fog is poisonous. We have to get out of here!” The leader, a red-robed

elder, shouted and immediately led everyone back to their starting point.

Even though he had no idea what was going on, it was obvious that this white fog was not

a natural phenomenon. It was man-made.

The Dragon Guard members moved quickly and ran in the opposite direction for around 15

minutes.

However, they were unable to leave the foggy area. Instead, they were even more tired

than before as they inhaled more of the fog while running. They decided to move further

away, but the results were the same.

“What’s happening? We have been running around for so long, and why are we still

trapped in the fog?”

“Look around, guys. Don’t you think it looks familiar?”

“Not only that! We’ve been running around in the same spot!” They finally realized that

something was wrong at that moment.

It didn’t matter how far they ran. Their surroundings remained foggy, and they couldn’t

see the sun or the sky. They couldn’t even tell where they were.

One of them made a special mark on the tree as they were running back to their starting

point. However, they made it back to the special mark on the tree once again!
