Julius slowly opened his eyes. Just as he was about to say something, he saw something in

the corner of his eyes. Someone was standing outside the window.

That person was Dustin!

“What the heck!” Julius was so startled that he shuddered. Julius never expected that

Dustin would be able to find the Dragon Guard’s secret base.

“Grand General Rhys, what happened? Was I too hard?” The beautiful maid was a bit

scared.

“It’s nothing. I’m a bit tired, so I would like to rest. You may leave.”

Julius soon calmed down. Then, he gestured for the beautiful maid to leave.

“Yes, sir.” The beautiful maid didn’t dare to reject, immediately leaving. After she left,

Dustin swiftly entered the room and sat in front of Julius.

“Dustin, why are you here?” Julius was shocked.1

Dustin smiled calmly. “I was scared as you didn’t have any updates. Thus, I got here after

searching around. However, it seems like you’re having a good time. Someone was even

giving you a massage.”

Julius replied calmly, “It’s all Reagan’s arrangement. I suppose he wants to lure me to stay

here by doing so.

“However, I’ve seen plenty of such methods in my life. Naturally, I wouldn’t pay them

much heed. I’m just playing along.”

Dustin looked at him meaningfully. “Is that so? So you’ve already seen Reagan. If that’s

the case, how’s the progress on the poisoning?”

Julius felt a bit helpless. “Dustin, poisoning is one thing. However, I can’t lose my life over

it, right?

“Look at how tight the security is and how many martial artists are guarding the place.

Even if I got lucky and killed Reagan, I’ll be dead meat.”

“Do you have other plans, then?” Dustin tried asking. Julius did indeed make sense. With

how strict the security was, it would be hard to escape if they were surrounded.

“I can’t say it’s a plan. However, we have a chance to make a move tomorrow. I heard that

Reagan would leave the base and head to Celestria. He’ll also bring me along.

“When that comes, I’ll inform you in advance. You guys should set up an ambush halfway

through his journey and catch him off guard!”

“That seems like an opportunity.” Dustin nodded thoughtfully.

“You should bring more men tomorrow just to make sure. We can’t let Reagan get away,”

Julius reminded.

“I will make the necessary arrangements. However, it mostly depends on you if we can

succeed. Reagan is way too powerful. If he wants to escape, probably no one can stop

him.

“Of course, it’s a different story if he was poisoned with Deicide Venom.”

“Don’t worry. As long as your ambush goes successfully, I’ll seize the opportunity and

deliver a fatal blow to Reagan!” Julius promised.

“Okay! I’ll wait for your good news tomorrow. It’s now or never to exterminate Dragon

Guard!” Dustin said seriously.

“You should head back. You can’t stay here for long. It’s dangerous here. If you get caught,

even I can’t save you,” Julius replied.

“Thank you. Once we succeed, I’ll give another Rejuvenatium to you.”

After smiling meaningfully, Dustin left without a trace.

His final words held a ting of warning. Dustin didn’t fully trust Julius. There was a chance

Julius would betray him if Dustin didn’t have something to threaten him.

Now that Parasite Mother and its children were linked, Julius would face a gruesome death

if he were to betray Dustin.
