With a sigh of relief, Marissa patted her hands together. "I'm leaving." As soon as the words left her mouth, she turned and exited.
Upon leaving the Peridot Consortium, she sent an email to Kevin under the nof Black Snake: "Mr. G, I have arrived in Blebert. When are you available to meet?" Marissa had resolved to meet Kevin privately to unravel the complexities of their situation. Since he had previously declined to dine with her as Tiffany, she opted to extend the invitation under a different identity.
There was no reason for him to decline an invitation from Black Snake.
