Magnus's face changed a bit.
His eyes blinked, and he paused for a moment before gesturing to be quiet.
He spoke louder, asking, "Who is it?"
Cole introduced himself, "Mr. Xavier, I'm Cole, the head of the design department at Strakovski Jewelry. I'd like to
discuss something with you."
Magnus frowned and whispered to Elena, "Go hide in the bathroom."
He had sent his assistant to Strakovski to sign a contract for a jewelry order, hoping to lure out Reese.
Since his true intention was now known, there was no point in continuing this ruse. He was short on tto
customize the jewelry anyway.
Seeing that Strakovski's design director was here, Magnus planned to address the matter directly. He didn't want
to waste more ton this matter.
It seemed Lukas wasn't aware of the situation yet.
Knowing Lukas well, Magnus realized that if Lukas had known, he would have sent lawyers, not the design
director.
Here, it's important to note that Magnus Xavier, as Lukas Strakovski's rival, understood him quite well.

As Elena entered the bathroom, Magnus said, "Cin."
When Reese and Cole walked in together, Magnus was surprised. Considering what happened last night, he
expected her to be quite frightened.
However, he was taken aback to see that Reese wasn't as scared as he thought. Looks can be deceiving, and her
courage matched her appearance. It made sense why James and Lukas saw her differently.
Magnus smirked and said, "Ah, it's Ms. Roberts and Director Hopkins. Please, take a seat."
Reese noticed Magnus, with his head wrapped in gauze, still managing to smile. She felt James hadn't hit him too
hard last night.
Her expression turned serious, and memories of last night made her gaze colder.
Cole recalled Reese's words and didn't have a positive opinion of Magnus. He spoke sternly, "Mr. Xavier, let's be
direct. Regarding the custom jewelry order, do you plan to proceed or terminate the contract?"
Reese was ready to handle Magnus if he becdifficult.
After the incident last night, she wasn't willing to be taken advantage of again.
She looked at Magnus calmly and said, "Mr. Xavier, if you don't want to cancel the contract, we can discuss the
jewelry order details within the terms of the contract."
Cole had a speech prepared to persuade Magnus to reconsider.
To their surprise, Magnus looked interested as he glanced at Reese and casually said, "Ms. Roberts, I've decided
to cancel the contract.”
Reese and Cole exchanged looks, not expecting the matter to resolve this easily.
Thinking about what happened last night, Reese's expression tensed.
Cole observed Magnus warily, asking, "Are you sure about this, Mr. Xavier?"
Magnus nodded, replying, "Yes, I'm sure. I've thought about it."
Cole continued, "We'll deduct twenty percent of the deposit."
Magnus shrugged, indifferent. "Deduct whatever you want."
Reese felt a bit frustrated. She had almost fallen into a trap set by Magnus last night.
The deposit had been a lure to deceive her.
She stared at Magnus with a somewhat gloomy look.
Seeing Reese's expression, Magnus smiled, saying, "Ms. Roberts, don't look atlike that. | misunderstood you
due to false information last night. The deposit was meant to help you cope with the shock."

Reese had been saved by James and had a complicated relationship with Lukas.
With a new glaunch approaching, Magnus didn't want to go against either Lukas or James at once.
Reese's voice turned cold, "I don't need help coping with the shock, especially considering you might need it
more after last night."
Magnus recalled being pickpocketed last night and his expression soured.
He hadn't anticipated Reese's unforgiving words.
Cole, fearing a change of heart, produced the termination contract, asking, "Mr. Xavier, since we share the same
goal, can we finalize the contract now?"
Magnus ignored Cole, focusing on Reese. "Certainly."
He noticed Reese suppressing her anger, yet he didn't bother about her emotions.
He knew she couldn't harm him with just her anger.
If James hadn't intervened last night, Magnus suspected Reese might have been more compliant.
Reese and Magnus instantly signed the contract.
Cole spoke in a professional tone, "We'll return the remaining deposit to your account within a working day."
Magnus made a nonchalant sound, saying, "Take your time. | won't see you out."
As Reese and Cole turned to leave, an unexpected farting sound echoed from the bathroom.
